From reading other reviews before we chose Galarias Hotel, other reviewers mentioned that the entrance to the hotel is on a small narrow street. This is true, but it is just a half a block west of a main shopping pedestrian walkway. If you like being in the daily hustle- bustle of the locals, this is a good spot. So 2 of the 4 nights we had construction noise. But, in the hotels defense, it was no cause of theirs. Upon arrival we were told unapologetically, the pool is shut for refurbishment. No compensation of any sort was awarded - the notion was not even entertained. The hotel staff were completely unapologetic & actually quite rude. Really disappointed as all other experiences with letsbookhotel.com have been positive. The breakfast was poor quality, used tinned fruit instead of fresh fruit. Also, the pool was closed with no explanation as to why or when it would open again and it was one of the main reasons we chose that hotel. Very disappointed. elevator not working (we were on the 9th floor..) swimming pool, jacuzzi, was not finished (/not there) pillows were old and uncomfortable. Everything was good.
