  Although I booked for a small double room I was given a three-bedroom cottage all to myself! The owner was welcoming and helpful. The evening meal was excellent quality. - Breathtaking views, peaceful, spacious, elegant and tasteful. One of the best we've ever stayed at.

  That they have started to renovate this great building with care since buying it last month. The owner Lynne is amazing host, so caring and friendly. The breakfast was superb. Warm and cosy rooms. Beautiful original features that will be respected during the upgrade. Strong wifi for when travelling for business.

  This short break was booked for my partners Brithday , we stayed for 2 nights. The room we had was a deluxe double so I can only comment on that type of room , and it was very lovely , large and airy and extremely comfortable. The hotel has a lovely feel to it , it is charming and the environment is completely relaxing.   The room was lovely and the service was excellent. Since we were exploring the area around Selkirk and had only one day, we did not have time to hunt for restaurants.   My wife who's Japanese stayed and she'd like me to convey that the hotel was beautiful and set in a fantastic town. All the people she met, from the hotel staff to the local people, were really friendly and speaking to her making her feel really welcome.
