We liked absolutely everything of this inn. The owners and staff could not have been friendlier. The room we stayed in was very comfortable with personal touches. The dinner was absolutely perfect and the best was to just having to go upstairs and relax in the comfortable bed.Will definately be back. -

This short break was booked for my partners Brithday , we stayed for 2 nights. Everything - didn't want to leave! - log fires in all the main rooms and even some bedrooms - not to be missed is afternoon tea and the knowledgeable bar staff who will educate you in their stock of whiskies and biggest selection of gins that we have ever seen.So peaceful - Duke and Scottish borders should be very proud

That they have started to renovate this great building with care since buying it last month. The owner Lynne is amazing host, so caring and friendly. The breakfast was superb. Warm and cosy rooms. Beautiful original features that will be respected during the upgrade. Strong wifi for when travelling for business.

From the moment we arrived we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. This is a lovely, friendly, traditional hotel, with lots of period features and our room was very clean and a decent size.
We had dinner in the hotel and breakfast and the food was lovely.
Would like to say a special thank you to Emma (Duty Manager) and all the staff that were working the weekend of the 29th November for making our stay as good as it was.

I was given an overflow room at the hotel, which was actually a very quaint 1 bedroom cottage, a stones throw from the hotel. The room was lovely and the service was excellent. Since we were exploring the area around Selkirk and had only one day, we did not have time to hunt for restaurants. It was wonderful to have an excellent restaurant to come back to in our own hotel. - Excellent service, staff very attentive, food was superb and standard room was excellent.

We were only there for one night and did not eat in the evening as we were in the castle at a wedding. Room was fine and the bed was really cosy! The breakfast was good and well presented. The service was excellent - nice surroundings and relaxed atmosphere. Would definately stay again and would recommend. -

Central location on Peebles High Street, close to all amenities . Helpfulness of Hotel Staff , Good food . Friendly bar . Surrounding countryside is spectacular, as the town . Beltane Festival was on all week and for anyone who has not been to the Festival we highly recommend you to go next year or any other year .. Nearby Glentress Outdoor Centre has woodland walks and for the young and fit cycle tracks and bike hire .I could go on forever but the area has too many treasures to mention .
