We were only there for one night and did not eat in the evening as we were in the castle at a wedding. Room was fine and the bed was really cosy! The breakfast was good and well presented. The service was excellent - nice surroundings and relaxed atmosphere. Would definately stay again and would recommend. -

I was given an overflow room at the hotel, which was actually a very quaint 1 bedroom cottage, a stones throw from the hotel. The staff were friendly and the cooked breakfast was very good. - Room (No 1) was spacious and comfortable. Hotel was quiet so good nights sleep. We didn't meet the owners however the staff attending to us were very friendly and helpful.
The room was well presented and very clean.
The full english or should I say Scottish breakfast was very tasty and filling.
Spectacular countryside setting.
I would definitely visit again.

We stayed in the 4 poster room which was at the front of the house. The
bed is probably one of the comfiest I've ever slept on. The bathroom
had 2 lovely bathrobes and lots of different accessories from cotton
buds to talcum powder, basically they had everything you needed. I liked
the location of Hundalee as we prefer the country to the busy town.

The owners,Val and Brian Leask were very friendly and easy to be with. They were very welcoming and I instantly felt at home when I entered the hotel. The accomodation was lovely, particularly the bed - it was huge!! The breakfast was probably the best I've had. I'm definitely bringing my partner back to stay again! - private, very friendly owners

Very friendly welcome with tea and cakes at the ready on arrival and range of drinks available in the evening in the lounge. Comfortable fairly spacious ground floor room. Very good parking. Good breakfast with local jams of excellent quality. We also booked for dinner which was very good. Very attentive hosts. Wifi worked well.

Sharon and Simon who run Heatherlie House Hotel are absolutely charming and it was lovely getting to know them and their children. They do an outstanding job of welcoming you and making you feel like part of their family. It was lovely and a treat for foreigners. -

I have stayed here a number of times on business. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and are beautifully decorated. The bathroom suites are 'old fashioned' but all coordinate with each bedrooms colour scheme. I personally think it works really well. Having stayed in 5 different rooms so far, I was always intrigued to see the style of each room! The dinner menu is very affordable...try the Buccleuch burger...it is delicious. Final dinner orders are taken at 9pm but the kitchen is very flex

Pretty much everything. From the lovely personal greeting email through to the wonderful breakfast before we departed. I have stayed in a lot of places which were far more expensive and not seen such high standards of service, cleanliness', cooking and lovely décor. All this in a glorious setting. We were just there for one night for a family

The breakfasts were wonderful.
Very accommodating to cyclists.
The location of Glede Knowe overlooking Innerleithen was excellent with good views from the dining room.
The guest lounge was comfy and board games were provided.
