  It is, by a long way, the loveliest place I've ever stayed; beats every five star hotel I've stayed in, in every country, and every US State. Breakfast is extremely good; and the layout of the - This large B&B has several choices of accommodation, and we stayed in the cottage at the top of the yard set apart from the other buildings, which was very romantic. It had the most comfortable bed you can imagine, a roaring wood-burning stove, and a lovely view. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in an English B&B, everything fresh and local and of excellent quality.

The beds each have their individual light and plug so it's perfect not to disturb each other in the dorm. The sheets are on when you come in and you just have to undo the bed which is convenient.   Our room was a decent size; although we had booked a double room we were given a family room with an extra single bed. There is a generous selection of teas and coffee with biscuits. The bathroom has nice quality shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The restaurant staff were polite and attentive. I can highly recommend the hotel and its very convenient for a trip to - The place is superb. And would still be at double the price: it's amazingly inexpensive. Character, comfort, calm, good food (offering both "bar" and "restaurant" menus - from the same kitchen - is a smart way of catering for every budget). The staff are really excellent and thoughtful. I can't imagine why anyone would stay anywhere else at Canterbury - or at the channel ports if you are en route to/from there, it's only a minute off the fast road. I certainly won't again.

  Everyone was extremely friendly and more than happy to help. The Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the City Centre but in dire weather (as was this weekend) taxi's are happy to pick up/drop off. - Only stayed overnight but impressed with the helpfulness of the staff, especially reception when booking in.
