Very modern accomodation and freindly staff. The reception gave me good advice on what to visit. The beds each have their individual light and plug so it's perfect not to disturb each other in the dorm. The sheets are on when you come in and you just have to undo the bed which is convenient. Lockers for bags and nice self cateing kitchen available

Our room was a decent size; although we had booked a double room we were given a family room with an extra single bed. There is a generous selection of teas and coffee with biscuits. The bathroom has nice quality shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.

The place is superb. And would still be at double the price: it's amazingly inexpensive.
Character, comfort, calm, good food (offering both "bar" and "restaurant" menus - from the same kitchen - is a smart way of catering for every budget).
The staff are really excellent and thoughtful.
I can't imagine why anyone would stay anywhere else at Canterbury - or at the channel ports if you are en route to/from there, it's only a minute off the fast road. I certainly won't again.

Everyone was extremely friendly and more than happy to help. The Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the City Centre but in dire weather (as was this weekend) taxi's are happy to pick up/drop off. - Only stayed overnight but impressed with the helpfulness of the staff, especially reception when booking in.

The Abode Canterbury is excellent for disabled access, the rooms are beautifully decorated with luxurious fittings and it has an air of calm. The staff are exceptionally helpful and cheerful. - The atmosphere of the the town and hotel was very nice. We all had arelaxing time during our stay at the Abode Canterbury.

In the first room provided there was a problem with the heated towel room which made it uncomfortably hot in the room , but on request the staff were very helpful in relocating us to another room , which we declined as it was a twin . That resulted in us being upgraded to one of the four posted rooms , which was superb. - A beautiful character prop

My partner and I were upgraded and had a wonderful stay in a room with a goregous four poster bed, the bathroom had a lovely jacuzzi bath. The hotel staff were clearly busy but extremely friendly, curteous and welcoming. The hotel restaurant served excellent food and was enjoyed by hotel guests and many locals! The hotel grounds were beautiful.

I thought we were very quickly and politely checked in. The cleaning staff of our room were particularly helpful, when we asked for a fan for our rooms. She went off and got them straight away. I liked the friendlyness and helpfulness of the staff - I had visited for my mother-in-laws 90th birthday and a few family members met with us for a meal which was excellent - thank you for this as I lost my husband (her son) in Jan. of this year so the ocasion was special as I had not seen her since his death as I live in County Durham. Very comfortable rooms which were very spacious with excellent tiled bathroom. Beautiful beamed bar and restaurant, very cosy with excellent food, included a Sunday lunch and children's menu. Good selection of real ales. A very good value place to stay when visiting Canterbury.
