Stayed two nights 11th and 12th August 2013. Delightful setting with the lake and wildlife all around. Felt fully immersed with nature during our two night stay, extremely relaxing environment. Buffet breakfast had a wide choice of food. The swimming pool is lovely. -

Loved the rural feel of the whole place - the mango trees laden with fruits, the dog and cat that wandered around lazily, the friendly smiles of the villagers who walked past and the relaxed feeling of the whole place. Not to forget a great host!

Superb hospitality, service and comfort. A delightful oasis in an out of the way spot. Lakshman and his lads put together a feast of a dinner and the washing returned beautifully ironed.The welcoming lime juice hit the spot.We were lent the bike to ride the km into town - Habarana - a crossroads centre with shops about 50m each way - nothing more.

Jaira was a wonderful host and Le Grand Mealness was a great place to use as a base to explore the cultural triangle. The food was good and the staff were very accommodating, welcoming and helpful (cooking breakfast whatever time we required it). The room was really large, nice and clean and I would recommend Le Grand Meaulnes to anyone.
