I must say that the warm welcome by Mr Eric & his staff made us feel great after a tiring day. The surroundings were fabulous as my family loves and care about the nature, and wild life which TOC is all about. The naturalist Mr de Alwis is surely an asset to the TOC, who took us on bird watching which we enjoyed so much. The boat ride on the lake was fantastic and my wide, kids and I truly enjoyed it. The boys at the restaurant were very friendly and we loved the food. The chalet was beauti.
alla recensioner » Had a lovely stay for three nights at the begining of our holiday . Wish we could have stayed longer as it was my favorite place during our stay in Sri Lanka and so chilled out . Eric the Manager made us feel very at home . Enjoyed our nature walk through the jungle with the naturist !. A real very pleasant hotel and team. The hotel is installed in a huge between a river and a water body that you can appreciate at the sunset or sunsine. The team is discret and professional. It is a very good location for a stop. I stronbly recommend it and I will come back. A lovely designed traditional stilted cabin. Very friendly helpful staff. Good traditional sri lankan food. Peaceful setting with staff happy to do a bird watching tour around the nearby lake. Very good location for visiting cultural triangle sites. Unique, simple and comfortable chalets surrounded by jungle are perfect place to enjoy in nature around Habarana Lake or visit historical places of cultural triangle. The staff were very friendly and services were excellent. the food, the chalets, the peacefulness, all of it. Just a wonderful place to relax in. The unique design of the hotel in the wild and the surrounding scenes. The grounds and the cabanas are wonderful!. the location is amazing!!!!. Very nice location, very green territory, nice bungalows. The best food we had in Sri Lanka. Bathroom was a bit smelly . Would have prefered a nice big shower instead of the jacussi which wasn't in keeping with the surroundings . Couldnt find any real faults but if you dont like insects be aware that the lights at night can attract some seriously big ones. We were very sorry that we could not stay longer. The staff didn't know the qebla direction for muslim prayers. Mosquitos at night. (But hey, your in the jungle!!). Cockroaches in the room. Expensive. Food is mediocre. Very expensive transport if you order it from the hotel. They billed my credit card twice, I had to contact letsbookhotel.com support to get the refund. Be careful. The hot water needs to be switched on, we didn't know this and endured a cold shower.
