  The hotel was great value, the pool area was very well laid out. The choice of buffet or A La Carte was good and the food in the restaurant at the pool area was very good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall the hotel was pleasant. We would go back but would request a floor above the third level. - Everything.   The hotel accommodations have recently been (extravagantly) refurbished and the rooms have a 'new' look. Reception and the public areas retain the traditional, luxurious appearance that first impressed my wife and myself when we made our first (of four) visits to the hotel. We arrived late in the evening, the restaurant was closed, but they had arranged for us to have a cold meal in the restaurant! We had half-board; the food was really good, fresh and with good variation. The next day we were able to change room to a higher floor without problems. The last day we were leaving late.   Just got back and everything about this place is as good as earlier reviews say it is. I was tempted not to add comments so I could keep this gem to myself. We were staying B/B so cannot comment on the evening meal but the breakfast was excellent, with choice galore & as much (or little) as you wish from fresh fruit, cooked and continental br... vad folk säger » eakfasts, omelettes etc. The hotel staff & their service is great throughout from the front desk, bar-staff to the nice ladies who clean the rooms - The staff are excellent: professional and competent whilst also friendly and good humoured. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre.   Fantastisk mysigt hotell. Vi hade också turen art få rum 105 i spa huset med jättealran. Ville stanna längre än två dagar men det var fullbokat tyvärr. Tyst lugnt hotell för avkoppling. Vi blev överraskade. Hade hela spaavdelning själva nästan då inte det var så många som nyttjade det
