  In early Aug 2013, it was very hot in Madrid. I arrived to find there was no aircon in any room due to a generator failure. Too tired to relocate I stayed anyway. It was a very hot and uncomfortable night. The following day, management were quick to apologize, gave the first night free and upgraded my status to include b'fast for all 3 mornings of... vad folk säger » my stay. Bravo! If this is an indication of Eurostar policy, I am impressed. - Hotel is renovated and is very trendy, our room was good and clean. Cleaning was done well. We had no problems at all. We didn't take breakfast so cannot comment on it. It is well situated, with a tube stop just 3 minutes walk from the door. All major tourists sites are withing walking distance, Plaza del Sol only 5-7 mins away (Prado musem is about 15-20 minutes, so as Plaza Espania).

Only comment is that the rooms seem to differ considerably in terms of size, especially bathroom. First room (203) bathroom and room were average size. Second stay (room ... vad folk säger » 529) larger room and bath. Third stay is a triple room--not as spacious but miniature bathroom. Only other comment is that internet access is poor. Free wireless in lobby works ok. Common use computer - The stuff was very friendly and helpful. Especially a guy named Asensio, that changed our room from the beginning, so we can feel even more comfortable, behaved as an old friend! That is service with "personal touch".

I dont remember his name but the gentleman who was on duty at front desk on March 4th 2008 has excellent customer service skills and should be commended for this. He makes a good impressio for the hotel and surely made my stay a pleasant one. - The room was spacious and clean.
