This is a typical French home welcoming guests into a "rustic" charm. Best nights sleep I've had in years. Breakfast good, and Eve, the owner, was very attentive. Bit of a long haul up the hill to the town, but at least it gives you an appetite. Ideal for Circuit de Ramparts and Rally. -

Excellent friendly welcome. Delightfully and quirkily furnished. Wonderful breakfast consisting of many homemade delicacies, voghourt, preserves and cake. A wonderful selection of books if literally minded.

The lady owner could not have been more welcoming and friendly. I had car problems and she immediately put me in touch with the most relevant garage in Angouleme.
The view over the country from the room was fantastic, yet the accommodation is only a few hundred yards (all uphill and up steps) from the centre of the Old Town, where most of the rest

Laferrière has loads of character, with it's limestone walls and tasteful interior. I was made to feel very welcome and at home, everyone was extremely helpful. It really catches the sun and I enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. Great location for the centre of town, just a short walk in a straight line!
