This place isn't fancy, but it's a clean, very affordable option for a one night stay if you're flying in or out of Oakland. The front desk and shuttle drivers are all very courteous and professional. It ain't the Ritz, but that's not what I wanted or expected. -

The building itself is old and shows some wear, but it is clear the owners take pride in their facility. The paint, furnishings, and carpet were clean and all looked like brand new. The bed was quite comfortable and the location was great. Several good resturants within easy walking distance. Great balcony with patio furnishings. -

Liked my room with the private balcony on the second floor overlooking
the pool area.
ALSO LIKED THAT THE BUTTERCUP RESTAURANT WAS OPEN FOR BREAKFAST. THE RESTAURANT AT THE NEARBY JACK LONDON INN DOESN'T OPEN UNTIL 10:00 AM.

Very friendly and comfortable hotel. Excellent location for exploring Oakland and for transport links to San Francisco by ferry, bus and BART. Beautiful lounge area for relaxing by the fire with complimentary coffee or tea. Great pool with fantastic views of the marina. Will be back sometime -

Staff; they were great. Whatever you do to train them to respond to customers, don't stop. Everyone I had contact with seemed eager to help in any way. The whole place was spotlessly clean. young man at the desk found the closest walmart and printed me

Comfortable, clean (albeit faded/stained a little on the walls/floors, but no 'people dirt', which is all I care about!), and good value, especially with nearby Bart making this an option even for San Francisco business travel. -

My wife is chemically sensitive so it was a nice relief to have a clean
scent & chemical free room. We had brought our own sheets but did
not need to use them. We had a leisurely walk up Telegraph Ave. For a
nice dinner out. Also the location was convenient for our trip. Our
a/c did not work when we checked in but the staff replaced it with
a new one within the hour. We had one of our best nights sleeping in
any motel.
