The location in the centre of the Beaujolais area was perfect for touring around, lovely countryside to explore as long as you have a car. Only about an hour from Lyon airport. The place is really quite comfortable to relax and have quiet days. The renovation of the castle was very good and the decoration superb. However, even if the village (with restaurants) is not far you cannot avoid to use your car every day. Lauren, the owner, was very kind and the breakfast was great.

For a 2 star hotel this was a really pleasant surprise! We loved the hotel, the staff could not have been nicer, friendlier or more helpful. Our room was quiet, peaceful and comfortable. We would definately stay here again. Breakfast was traditional French continental style breakfast; exactly what we wanted.

It was very good hotel; however, it had couple problems hopefully they fix them. First, the A/C (air conditioning) was very poor, the room by midnight would turn warm & humid. Second, the internet connection in the room was little weak. Beside these two problems everything looked excellent, very spacious and clean. I would rate them 8 out of 10
