We liked the well equipped kitchen. There were cleaning materials
including dishwasher tablets. The parking was very secure with lift
access to the hotel. The only thing was that the decor, although
modern, was a bit dark and the furnishings did not make the room
inviting. There is a large shopping complex containing a Carrefours
supermarket, directly opposite. It is only a 300 metre walk to the tram
stop which is handy.

The beach at Villefranche is awful and absolutely rammed with people as
it is the only public beach for miles. Far better to use the hotels
private beach across the bay. The decor of the room was sweet but a
little dated as were the bathroom fitments. The breakfast at the hotel

is vastly overpriced at 17 euros- far better to eat breakfast at one of
the neighbouring cafes. -
The hotel is in the best location with an excellent view from your
balcony overlooking the harbour. The staff couldn't have been more
helpful and the room was very clean. Villefranche-sur-Mer is lovely and
has a train station for travelling to Nice, Monaco etc.

Room was excellent. . .warm, good-sized (privelege room) and most comfortable. Toiletries in bathroom very generous...soap, shampoo, body lotion, cotton buds, pads, shower-cap, etc. A home from home.

I first stayed in the Excelsior with the Travel Department. I found both the rates and the location were good. - Location was very convenient. It was close to shopping, eating and sights to see.
