  I loved the fact that it was peaceful in the country. The memorials of Normandy was very close. Mont St Michel is only an hour and a half drive. The staff was very friendly, and even offered to make us food to go when we left before breakfast. - Dog friendly

  What a pleasant surprise we had to see the lovely L'Hermerel situated deep in manicured farmland, with the chateau inside a medieval style enclosure. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed rooms, and newly installed bathrooms. Proprietress Agnes was a gem of efficiency, great restaurant recommendations and local tales. The ... hva folk sier » breakfast was in the chateau dining room and included homemade and local cheeses, jams, butters and various milks from the farm's dairy. L'Hermerel is - A relaxed countryside location, on a working dairy farm, the kids loved seeing the cows. The family were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. A perfect spot for exploring the historic beaches as well as many other things to do in the area. There were little thoughtful touches throughout the room which made a big difference. The breakfast was amazing with lots of local produce every morning.
