  We loved the room which was a converted priory complete with vaulted ceiling and chandelier. It was across the lane from the cathedral which was spectacular. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. It was a really quiet location with a comfortable bed. It was a great base for visiting the Somme battlefields - The location of the hotel is excellent fo... hva folk sier » r exploring the city and bars/restaurants. The staff were welcoming and, having made a request for additional bedding, this was sorted very quickly. Despite being located next to the cathedral the room was well sound proofed. Parking is close by.

  The hotel is well-situated, and typical of an older french hotel. Although it looks a little tired in places, it is very clean, the rooms are a good size and the beds very comfortable. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel also benefits from having a bar and restaurant, although we only had breakfast, which was very good. Visitors should be aware that the Rue de Noyon is a pedestrian walkway so cars cannot stop ou - The Le Carlton is in a great location within walking distance of the train station, cathedral and city centre. The room that we had was spacious, clean and we appreciated the double glazing. The staff were amazing and I would like to congratulate them on being the most helpful, professional and pleasant people that we have dealt with. For example they went out of their way to assist us when our Somme Tour operator didn't arrive at the designated time.

  We had a balcony overlooking the cathedral which was lovely especially at night with the lights glowing. All members of staff were extremely helpful and seemed to want go that extra mile to assist us. Old fashioned "nice". Breakfast and dinner were very good. This was our first visit and we based ourselves at - Excellent, helpful staff. The location is very central, being ideally placed to enable one to leave the car in the car park. With Paris just over an hour away by train it was ideal. The room was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the free newspapers and magazines and the minibar (free) was refilled with soft drinks every morning. For four nights it was very much 'home from home' and I expect that we shall return.

  We spent two nights at the beautiful La Maison d' Euphrasie whilst visiting the battlefields of the Somme and Amiens city recently. This guest house is exceptional: it is elegantly furnished with comfortable rooms and good showers. We were served fresh nectarines with fresh mint for breakfast- very memorable- sitting in the beautiful garden.
