  I really like how friendly and helpful the staff is. Fast check in, indeed they have my room key ready when I got to the hotel, almost like just waiting for me. Room is big and comfortable. - The proximity to the Portland Airport, which is the reason we chose this location. The room was also very clean.

  My sister & I reserved a double room; when we checked in, we were upgraded to a suite at no charge; Excellent suite; perfect night's sleep; and a fantastic breakfast. We had gone to a function in Scarborough Fri evening & just stayed one night, but we enjoyed the Hampton Inn & would stay there again.   Great setting, close to airport and business meeting in area. Beautiful lobby, great food and service. Sat in lobby by fireplace enjoying the Wed. evening manager wine/beer appetizer event. Then ordered dinner and continued relaxing by fireplace. Best New England Clam chowder I have had anywhere! Nice room and very friendly staff.   The facilities are an excellent value for the moderate rates and it is minutes to downtown Portland, the large Maine Mall area for shopping, the beaches in Scarborough because it is right off a 295 exit on Route 1. We enjoyed the pool and the few minutes we were able to get into the hot tub. I would like to suggest that you ask folks to limit their time in the hot tub to 15 minutes unless no one is waiting to enjoy it as well.
