  We were stollen at Georgetown and the staff of the hotel was very kind and helpful. They have called the police, who came to the hotel and at the end of the day, when we arrived to the room, we had a very kind note offering a bottle of wine and some fruit. They made as feel as if we were at home in a difficult situation. Thanks a lot! These areas included an excellent restaurant and bar and a lovely reading room. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. The spa was fabulous. Three of our party had a massage, and each of us was pleased with the experience. The room was quiet and nicely appointed, although not as luxurious as some other five star hotels we've stayed in.

  The building itself is magnificent - harks back to a more refined time. We were a group of 5 "mature" college girlfriends, having our every-other-year reunion. The location was great, being within walking distance to the White House and many other sites, and 1 block away from the Metro. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, giving us rooms next door to each other as reques - It was a day layover for 25th wedding ani /50th birthday en route to Hawaii. Given room upgrade not quite a suite but corner room views both ways. Biggest chocolate strawberrys/and cake and cream ive ever seen as a special gesture and free. staff and conciege extra polite and helpful.As previous comments this is a luxury standard by which all others should be judged the besr hotel we have stayed in and weve stayed in some top ones. the hotel is steeped in history take the trouble to enquire????

  We stayed here for 5 nights in late August and it was fabulous. Very spacious interconnecting rooms, ideal for a family of 6 and extremely comfortable beds. Lovely décor, friendly and very helpful staff.   It was nice and easy to pull our car right in off the street and be assisted by someone right away who brought in our luggage and parked our car. We got to the hotel earlier than check-in time and at first there wasn't a room ready, but a very nice gentleman at the front desk got us into a room within minutes. Loved the free Wifi, the flat-screen TV, the very comfy bedding, nice chair and small couch to relax on, the location of the hotel (right - The location of the hotel was excellent - close to shops and restaurants. The bus stop for the conference center is right outside thd hotel - an added bonus as was the free wifi. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, making it a great stay, even for a single female traveller on business. I'd definitely stay again.

We were flying from DCA - so a quick 5 min walk to metro and we were at the airport < 30mins!!
