  I arrived early on my check-in day around 9:30 AM from the train station in Emeryville. I asked the person at the front desk if I could check in a bit early if a room was available. Close to many good dinner places. The room was clean. This place is good if you need a quick place to sleep close San Francisco. Hotels in the City charge up to $50/day to park. Parking at La Quinta was free and I enjoyed the hassle free ride on Bart.

  Our son got married this week-end and my husband checked days before the event - Hotel Shattuck was sold out. Living only forty minutes away . . . we had not reserved a room. Went online morning of the wedding and we were in luck. Best decision! It is always the little things that make such a big difference. For example, the bread with dinner was still warm from the oven, wonderful crisp crust and chewy interior.
