  The hotel was well appointed and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and accommodated us when we requested an early check-in. I would stay there again and would recommend it to friends. - The decor was very impressive, the dining room stunning. The hotel is very classy, quiet and friendly. Excellent choice at breakfast.

  The staff were all efficient and very friendly. Check in, bar service, the waitress at dinner and the handling of breakfast arrangements were all excellent. The room was large and nicely furnished and the bathroom was a good size. We really enjoyed the food - the steak at dinner was great and the food and wine were ggod value for money. Adrian the owner even gave us a lift to the ashes cricket game that morning cause he was going that way... Such a lovely fellow :-) The rooms were very clean and had lovely decor (basic but stylish). Food size also. Location great- only short walk to train station and to Durham city :-)
