Staff were very friendly and very helpful and just all-around

The way the rooms are arranged and made up to make the hotel itself look like a small town makes it as charming as the people who run it.

It was a wonderful surprise to have such good self-catering facilities. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Laundry facilities useful. An interesting place with all apartments labelled as village shops,businesses etc. Only a few minutes walk to lakeside and shops.

Classic independent motel in NZ - bit older than some but all round no grouses. We received a very warm welcome from the receptionist, who showed us to our room and gave us two freshly baked muffins, lovely. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The next morning I asked where I could book a particular trip to Milford Sound - the receptionist sorted it all out for me and booked the cruise.
The laundry facilities were also very handy and, again, spotless.

The room we had was very comfortable with a nice garden setting to sit in and enjoy the lovely weather we enjoyed while touring the South Island. This was our best stay in NZ. The lady at the reception ( Elina) is so helpful. She gave us great advice as to when to leave for Milford sound, not to book unless you are going or lunch cruise, early morning tkts are easily available.

Knowledgable, responsive and friendly staff.
Some people complain about sand flies in the room, but we had the windows open all night with no bites.
Te Anau is a great location for visiting the sounds and the lakes.

The Manager is a smiling font of knowledge - best value-for-money tours, best place to eat, even Dad-jokes. We were 4 seniors on a fly-drive junket and our unit was very adequate. Good sized ensuite, lots of hot water, clean spacious rooms and well located in a quiet street with a nice walk to the main street.

I had a wonderful stay at Fjordland Lakeview Motel and Apartments. The heating was excellent, and very welcome after tramping outdoors, it was very clean and comfortable, and there were luxuries in the details like the toiletries and complete utensil set in the kitchen. The lakeview from the garden literally outside our door was truly spectacular, and it is a short and easy walk to town centre or the conservation centre. The staff were warm and helpful. I would definitely go back there to stay,

Loved staying here. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well appointed. On arrival we were advised of the best places to eat and how to best enjoy our stay based on what we had planned. Had a great view by the lake (we were in upstairs unit). Also within easy walking distance of the centre of town. Would definitely stay here again. -

We had a 2 bedroom unit for our family with 2 young children.The unit was clean and tidy. Our hosts were kind enough to lend a big Fisher Price toy which kept our young ones occupied. We were planning to go to Milford Sound the next day and our hosts kept us up-to-date with regards to the road conditions to Milford Sound. There was also laundry and dryer facilities available for us. Wi-Fi Internet was also provided for free which was rare during our trip to New Zealand.
