  We had a 3 bedroom cottage which was very nice and comfortable. We had a log fire in the lounge room, a big kitchen/dining room, laundry with waching machine and dryer and 3 good sized bedrooms. It was nice to be able to do washing without having to go find somewhere to change money into dollar coins, we were all able to have clean and dry clothes... cosa dice la gente » for the rest of the trip. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Free wi-fi and free phone calls back to Australia, which was a nice bonus. We wo - Ray and Leonie run a beautiful set of cottages on a property attached to their house in Te Anau. The cottage we rented was clean, and fully furnished with a stovetop, microwave, and dishes for four. Ray also runs bus tours to local attractions, including Milford Sound. We had our own car, and didn't take him up on his offer for a tour, but we never felt pressured to do so. In two weeks visiting New Zealand, this was our favorite place to stay!

  Close to the lake and tourist information. Staff were very friendly but I wish that they had told us we had to order breakfast by 6pm the night before.   Classic independent motel in NZ - bit older than some but all round no grouses. You pay for what you get and one motel is pretty much the same as the next - but you wont go wrong here - we liked it and would recommend it... but are not jumping up and down saying its the best in the world... if you go to Te Anau and to Doubtful Sound (overnigh... cosa dice la gente » t cruise on the Southern Secret) when you're in the South Island - well you've made the best choice already - The reception and friendly staff will always remain with us. Tony was so helpfull in trying to arrange the siteseeing trips we wanted to do . The room was clean and had everything we wanted during our short stay .   It is very conveniently located near Manipouri to be able to catch the Doubtful Sound boats and in fact arranges and has discounts on the Doubtful Sound and Milford Sounds trips (for some but not all trips). The staff is exceptionally friendly, cheerful and helpful. One staff member even stayed late so we had time to consult our schedule to see ... cosa dice la gente » if the overnight trip to Doubtful was feasible, canceled our second night booking with their site with a small fee ($17) as he really seemed more inte - we rent and booked 2 bedrooms apt . we notified that we would be there 5 adults and 2 children. the rooms were as expected. 1 room with 3 single beds and another bed room with double bed. and they prepared the sofa bed in the living room to very comfy . i recommend this apartment to whom want to go holiday with family. dont worry they have all necesarry things to cook . laundry is also available ib other sidebof the apArtment.
