  We loved our cosy self-contained cabin with log fire. Helen and Dave are the perfect hosts and made us feel like part of the family. Their three boys are delightful. Farmstays are not just for little kids - our teenagers loved feeding the lambs and goat, riding the horses and mountain bikes and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We particularly enjoyed having a wine with Helen and Dave while they - Helen was a fantastic host. Friendly accommodating and knowledgeble. Location was gorgeous. Easy to find and close to shops. Interior of cottage was so beautiful, great fireplace, jacuzzi, beds were so comfortable. Fresh orange juice, freshly baked bread and home made jam were a definite plus. Handfeeding lamb, horse-riding in a scenic place, the country life was great and so family-friendly.

  We had a 3 bedroom cottage which was very nice and comfortable. We had a log fire in the lounge room, a big kitchen/dining room, laundry with waching machine and dryer and 3 good sized bedrooms. It was nice to be able to do washing without having to go find somewhere to change money into dollar coins, we were all able to have clean and dry clothes... cosa dice la gente » for the rest of the trip. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Free wi-fi and free phone calls back to Australia, which was a nice bonus. We wo - Ray and Leonie run a beautiful set of cottages on a property attached to their house in Te Anau. The cottage we rented was clean, and fully furnished with a stovetop, microwave, and dishes for four. Ray also runs bus tours to local attractions, including Milford Sound. We had our own car, and didn't take him up on his offer for a tour, but we never felt pressured to do so. In two weeks visiting New Zealand, this was our favorite place to stay!

We were 4 seniors on a fly-drive junket and our unit was very adequate. We would certainly recommend this motel to our friends and family.

She gave us great advice as to when to leave for Milford sound, not to book unless you are going or lunch cruise, early morning tkts are easily available. Some people complain about sand flies in the room, but we had the windows open all night with no bites. Te Anau is a great location for visiting the sounds and the lakes.
