  Clean , comfortable, amazing view, friendly staff. Strahan was one of my favourite places in Tasmania. The people were so freindly. I did a four hour Harley Tour with Big Al and got to see so many lovely places that I would like to revisit. Had I only done teh Gordon River Boat tour and the Wilderness Railway I would have felt I had done all there... cosa dice la gente » is to do in Strahan, but the bike ride showed me so much more. We will definately be back and look forward to staying at Strahan Village again. - The room was comfortable, though rather dated. As we looked out onto the carpark we took advantage of the Hilltop lounge area. On the first night the bar was open, the fire stoked and we enjoyed a drink while watching the light fade and the lights come on in the harbor. On the second night, no bar, no fire, no staff, but the view more than made up for it.

Our immediate reaction when walking in was "pity we can only stay one night - it would be so nice to kick back here for a longer stay". The property is only a short walk into the centre of Strahan.

  The staff were very friendly and really helpful when I became sick. The units were good in that you could self cater and we were upgraded at no extra cost to give us more room because we had booked 3 nights. The laundry facilities we much cheaper to use than other places we had stayed. Everything was immaculately clean and comfortable and the fully equipped kitchen and big TV were excellent.

  Very well set up self contained villa. Plenty of room to spread out in and the tavern only 50 metres away for good pub quality meals if you don't want to cook your own. Only 3 minutes from the centre of Strahan with a view acroos the bay to the town. Helpful and friendly staff.   This was by far the best motel we stayed at in Tasmania. Friendly staff, comfoitable room with all necessary facilities, quiet, reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others - Comfortable, clean hotel with some nice extras such as a spa bath and a continental breakfast basket.   Ormiston House is a beautiful home which Carolyn and Mike have completely renovated, obviously with a great deal of love.
