Clean , comfortable, amazing view, friendly staff. Strahan was one of my favourite places in Tasmania. The people were so freindly. I did a four hour Harley Tour with Big Al and got to see so many lovely places that I would like to revisit. The room was comfortable, though rather dated. As we looked out onto the carpark we took advantage of the Hilltop lounge area. On the first night the bar was open, the fire stoked and we enjoyed a drink while watching the light fade and the lights come on in the harbor. On the second night, no bar, no fire, no staff, but the view more than made up for it.

It was close to all amenities, all within walking distance. Wendy in the office was friendly and efficient. Good restaurant across the road. It was generally quiet and very comfortable -
A wonderful place. Megs and particularly Wendy go out of their way to help you.
The accommodation was beautifully maintained.

We felt thouroughly spoilt at Franklyn Manor, enjoying the ambience and charm of this fine example of historic Tasmanian Architecture. Close to Risby Cove restaurants and a comfortable walk into Strahan. Very relaxing, we would recommend it to those who like to indulge in Tasmanian hospitality. Plenty to do while in the area too.

The spaciousness, quality and cleanliness were outstanding, with all of
those facilities necessary (washer/dryer, full kitchen etc) to make
life easy when touring.
Our immediate reaction when walking in was "pity we can only stay one night - it would be so nice to kick back here for a longer stay".
The property is only a short walk into the centre of Strahan.

Great location and great property. Full of history and old world charm. Wonderful hosts, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable. Had cuppa and freshly made muffins on arrival and each time we came back from an activity. Breakfasts were great. my husband fell in love with the local leather-wood honey.
Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Strahan.
