  We have been using the Balinese for 10 years and it has always been a good stay. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The staff have been great and have even taken personal time to help. The location is great, close enough to central Cairns, but far enough away where you don't have to put up with the noise and traffic. The kitchen is great, we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves. Basic breakfast but good to have :) Oh and we got an early check in too which we appreciated.

  This is such a friendly hotel and the staff were so helpful it was a pleasure to stay there. Our room was pretty standard but good enough and very clean. The manager, Rosemary, was very helpful. We arrived a number of hours before we were supposed to check in and our room was already ready for us. The manager helped us book our tours and even drove us to the wharf on the day, so we wouldn't be late and this was greatly appreciated.

  I was there with my wife and two kids (2&5) in May and had a great experience. The apartments are big, clean, comfortable and with everything you may need (washing machine, dryer, kitchen, big fridge, nice TV, wireless internet). Graham helped us with directions to places we want to go, he booked tours for us and even gave us his discounts. Our 2 bedroom apartment was a good comfortable size for a family of 4. Everything was as expected at 3 star standard.
