The location of the motel in relation to area's were visited was great. Direct access to downtown and movement to other areas of town were handy. The food in the restaurant was excellent as was the service. Front office staff was excellent. Room and breakfast were great. The hotel is within walking distance of shopping, entertainment, restaurants. And the walk along the river is most enjoyable.
all reviews » Loved that there was entertainment available (lounge music) and location. We walked all around and rode our bikes from the front door of the hotel. The location next the Spokane river is great. We liked the trail access. Very accommodating staff. They helped me lock my bicycle in the hotel. access to Gonzaga University quiet great view of Spokane River Centennial trail access closeness to downtown airport transportation. The hotel is within walking distance of most places in downtown. We were there to attend Flashdance at the Performing Arts Center. LOve this property! Staff are great- Jasmin at the desk and Josh in restaurant who brought me much appreciated room service!. Efficient staff at check in. Good restaurant, good pet area. Convenient location for travel and city activities. 1. Close to Gonzaga University. 2. Walking distance to Riverfront Park and Downtown. 3. Beds were very comfy. This is the hotel in Spokane that we have been accustomed to. Its like going to a home away from home. Room was quiet, bed was super comfy, staff very attentive. Location great for downtown activities. Location is fabulous.on the Spokane river with amazing walking trails right outside your door. They were amazing. It was more of a medical trip and they helped me in every way they could. It was located in a great location clean and was close to a walling trail along the river. Nice hotel and a good price . I love the location of the hotel and the location of my room, It was a little rough but still very nice. We liked being right by the river walk and being close to downtown. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Free parking. Close to down town. While the room was very clean and organized the room had a musty smell, almost like mildew. This was noticed up on every entry to the room, after being in the room for a while it was not noticeable. The coffee maker did not work properly as it would not suck all the water out of the reservoir. I had to pour the water out of the reservoir to make coffee. A note was left for room service regarding this issue. Would like to see a larger choice on the menu in the restaurant. Food was good. Having to leave. The room smelled very slightly like old cigarettes. door did not shut automatically small, old toilet. The weather-it was bloody cold. Please fix it for our next trip. Room doors could be more soundproofed. Walls between rooms great... No noise and hotel,was full with college kids.... But doors could be better. Nothing. 1. Even if it only has 2 floors, there were no elevators. Hard when you have a lot of luggage. 2. No directions to find your room/very confusing. 3. Expected modern furnishings/very old fashion like the rooms you would find in a motel. 4. Air conditioner in room was very loud. Small room, but works OK for one. Wish the chair in the room was more comfortable for reading. Rather old and tired looking inside the hallways and room. Toilet leaked badly but was fixed immediately next morning. We did not get the room we reserved. We reserved the premium king and hot the double queen. The staff was not so freindy. Parking come-see come-saw. For size of property adaquit. we were on ground floor. would have been nice to have chairs right outside our patio door. Also would loved to have sat at the restaurant to enjoy the warm evenings, but didn't want to have to eat. Parking area is not large enough. I had two different reservations and was told that I did not need to come back to the front desk for rechecking and the keys would be coding to the end of our stay. Unfortunately we had to get new keys for the room which is no big deal. It's the fact we were told not to worry and ended up turning out to be wrong. Not the greatest part of town. Top step at pool to high. I have mobility problems and getting out of the pool tripped due to height. Family was there to help me get up. Did not hurt myself other that scraped the knee. Could be a safety issue you could address. heating/cooling fan really loud and not adjustable. needed to turn the tv up to hear it over fan, then had to turn fan off once room comfortable because it was so noisy. would have been unable to sleep with the fan running. Beds are uncomfortable! Upstairs occupant was loud!. nothing. $2.00 for a water out of the vending machine. Have a talk with the Coke distributor and cut your commission a tiny bit. It has been updated and is nice, but still needs a little more updating, I was not impress with the business center and very disappointed not free breakfast, which has gotten to be very standard. We never received housekeeping during our 2 night stay. When we asked for new coffee supplies for the next morning, they were never delivered. Poor customer service led us to be very disappointed!. 1st room stunk. 1st room upgrade for view was of the tennis court. 2nd room upgrade for view was of the grass an a slight side view of river. Not worth the 10 bucks. Totally full occupancy and no pool available out of 2. You can go to a neighboring hotel across a busy street. Advertised as pool opens Memorial Day, and they don't mean the weekend! Disappointed. No spa available...storage room. I will no longer stay at Red Lion River Inn and will naturally discourage others from staying. I have never experienced such bad breakfast and I was embarrased when I invited guests to join me for their breakfast buffet. I do not care if this message is not taken heed as it will be only a matter of time when the hotel management wonders why the breakfast crowd is gone. Disapointed the hot tub was closed.
