  The first thing we noticed were the beautiful petunia plants planted everywhere around the grounds. The pool and jacuzzi were sparkling clean. The room smelled clean and the linens were fresh and we all felt very clean and comfortable. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, and this place passed the test! I added this hotel to my "f - On the first morning there I had forgotten to place the "do not disturb" sign on our door so the maid wouldn't clean it. Upon our return I became panicked because it was clear it had been clean (my shirt and bra neatly folded on top of the made beds!). What scared us was how we left our camera, i-pad, and computer laying around along with some of my jewelry.   On the first night we did not get much rest due to a party in the adjoining room that lasted until 4am. The hotel refunded our money for that night. I reserved a non smoking room anf on the second night I and my friend awoke to what appeared to be second hand cigarette smoke in our room. They were so patient and attentive to the children that ordered. Great staff from gift shop to the Conceirge. We stayed over Thanksgiving and was recommended some wonderful resturants.   I absolutely loved the view of the Lake from our room. It was beautiful! I also enjoyed watching the guests having fun playing volleyball, eating at the pier, engaging in sports, and relaxing in hammocks. The energy was so extremely positive. The second thing we loved was the peace and quiet. This was miraculous. EVERYWHERE we go we are surround... what people say » ed by screaming children. This was not the case here. Families were respectful. I was pleasantly surprised. My husband commented it is a different - The location and scenery was fantastic. We all enjoyed the pier, a great place to have a drink and enjoy the gorgeous view. The fact that it was very dog friendly was great for us. The rooms in our group were all very clean and had a cozy feeling. They were quite small, I can't imagine more than 2 or 3 people having room to move around.

  Staff was very friendly and happy to make recommendations on restaurants, hiking trails, and the area in general. Breakfast buffet was their own oatmeal, granola, and very fresh bagels --> all were excellent. Has a hot tub on the roof. Bring your own sheet or ask for a small one from housekeeping.   I love the fact its across the street from Fire & Ice, and just a less than a mile away from the Casinos. The manager was funny and was very nice to work with, plus when the younger teens would be acting up he would set them straight and if they didn't they were kicked out!   Just for a guy who was up for the Golf tournament it worked good for me because I'm not in the room a lot. And the price worked for me as well. - location was perfect and close to South Lake Tahoe village. Staff was awesome regarding our demands. The room was clean. Overall, it was ok.
