Our upstairs room at end of walkway was a good position.. Room was clean and comfortable with fridge and coffee maker. Sitting area was good too. Easy walking distance to gondola and fantastic views over Lake Tahoe. Shopping and restaurants all close by. Owners were very helpful with local information not on printed brochures which is always welcome knowledge when you are in a place for a few days.
all reviews » The Alpenrose was doing some repairs for a bigger reception but they gave us the room at the opposite place to disturb us as less as possible and they upgrade for a room with fireplace very confortable in novembre...The staff was really nice with us, telling us where to go around. The room was simple but very clean. The couple who run the hotel are very kind and welcoming. The hotel is located in a quiet location a short walk to the lake and quite near the golf course, which is also nice for walking in the off season. The room was also very quiet though located in the center of the hotel. Roomy, comfortable. Wonderful to have an upgrade to suite D. Also very nice that the room was heated upon arrival. The room looked recently remodeled and was very comfortable. Nice touch that a wine opener was available, that is one item usually forgotten. Very nice that a conteniental breakfast is included. Absolutely charming! Delightfully appointed individual rooms. Not rubber stamped chain motel rooms. Gas fireplace and wet bar, superb bedding, quiet location but close to the action. The owner was on site and very attentive. Continental breakfast. The staff was very helpful in explaining places to visit, and can't miss trips. The room was large with a kitchenette, and very clean. The breakfast was very simple but they say it's going to change with a bigger place for a buffet. Can't think of a thing. No refrigerator. nothing at all. the breakfast was very dissapointing the matresses were uncomfortable. Nothing. A little pricey - but we booked only a week or so out. No complaints otherwise. small place for breakfast. Breakfast rather poor (no eggs, no juices, "artificial" pastries"). Very noisy air conditioning/heating unit. Air conditioner was noisy. Breakfast was basic, but they are building a breakfast room as we speak. Nothing. Breakfast.
