  Beach Haven Inn though an older facility is basic, clean, comfortable and economic accomodation within steps of the Pacific Beach boardwalk, but at the quieter north end of Crystal Pier. Having a kitchenette and pool deck BBQ makes it easy to have some meals in when not enjoying the many restaurants in PB. We enjoyed being able to walk for miles on beach/boardwalk, grocery stores were within 5-6 blocks walk a - For the amount we paid we were very pleased. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable! When I read the description of the room it didn't say there was a fridge, microwave or coffee maker...when we walked in the room there was a full kitchen! The staff was always walking around and cleaning up even late at night. One staff member saw us up late and alerted us he had a parking spot open up front so we got to move our car closer.

  i don't understand some of these people with their negative reviews! you get what you pay for people if you want 5 star then fork it out!! with that said! Nice 20 minute walk or jog up Presidio Hill, also basketball court, are across the street also.

I think it took me like 15 minutes to walk - This hostel is absolutely amazing, and by far the best I've ever visited. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, with helpful staff. It's located in Little Italy, which is a brief 15 minute walk from downtown and the Gaslamp Quarter. It's clean and has a very home feeling to it. Every day the hostel offers activities, both daytime and evening. Breakfast and dinner is complimentary. I was very comfortable here, and sad to leave when my stay was over. Will definitely stay here next time I visit

  It is very close to the airport (about 1mi) although driving from the airport is about 2.5 miles. It is a quiet Old town location, but located on the I-5, so if you're a light sleeper, make sure you get ear plugs or make sure you get a front side room. We were there only for 2 days and 2 nights.   I loved being so close to the beach and able to hear the waves at night. The staff was exceedingly nice & very helpful. When booking, I had forgotten to mention that I would need a handicapped room. They very easily changed my room at no additional charge - The rooms were simple and so confortable.   I'm from Australia and i was staying at another hotel near Beverly Hills and payed a fortune to stay there with no breakfast/horrible service. When we came to this hotel to come to SeaWorld the lady at the front desk was very lovely and told us all the popular places to eat and things to see near the hotel and pointed out discounts and sightseeing... what people say » things at their stand. It was also nice that there was breakfast available in the mornings with a decent variety of things.
