(3) Safe and secure place - I lost my wallet in the lobby which I did not hold any hope but the staff helped me to find it out. (4) within10 minute walking distance to big shopping malls and center of city. Elegance of years gone past. A spacious and gracious lobby where one really can sit and comfortably relax. Staff adequate for normal hotel functions. Small touches pretty much dead except at the highest end of the hotel world, like lobby ice water in a pitcher with a slice of lemon.
all reviews » The staff came to our car to get our luggage and delivered it to the room. The building is full of old charm. The room was clean and bright. The location was great. Right downtown and close to everything. There was no wait in the lobby. The staff were very helpful in giving us directions to some of the sites. There was a dirty cleaning rag left on top of the towels which was not a great thing to see first off. The tile around the sink was cracked & the bathroom was very cold. Didn't warm up even with keeping open the bedroom door. Have to pay for Wi-fi, old elevator didn't always work, small room for roll out cot. Bar closed at 9h30 pm Not free wifi in the room. Had to find another place for breakfast. Pity the hotel doesn't do coffee in the evenings. No coffee machine in rooms. Coffe on offer in the lobby in the morning, stone cold yuk!. the only negative thing I noticed is that things were a bit run down compared to a year ago. Sheets had frayed edges, toilet paper bar and hand towel holder were coming off the wall. and the pull out bed was sadly uncomfortable. the mattress was worn and you could feel the springs. no bedding was n the closet for the bed and when we called to ask for bedding they only brought sheets, no blanket or anything. Needs better water pressure inthe shower, better parking. Maybe slightly too noisy (fan and street noise). Refrigator would have been nice. slow elevator. No breakfast. Elevator needs to operate for older guests (like my dad and mom), heat in room was ineffective. no coffee or breakfast & nothing open on Sunday morning around Perry Hotel. The elevator had problems and the sink wasn't in the bathroom. I do not understand why the hotel freezes credit card funds for more than three weeks (when the stay was only four days long). Nothing comes to mind. No free parking. Had to pay $12 a day. The room was uncomfortably small...and there were no drapes to close off the window to the windows 10 feet away. Just a dirty pull down blind. The public areas are a little worn around the edges. Rooms were quite small. No parking for the hotel, so had to buy a day- parking ticket for ~12$ public parking. It is advertised as kind of cosy "design" hotel. Well, it is for sure a hotel with history (build in the beginning of last century), but (at least for an european customer) there is not really a special charme to the hotel... The front desk staff was generally friendly and helped us with directions but they forgot to call me for my 4:45 A.M. wake up call for my 6 A.M. flight. Thankfully I had a back up alarm but it would have been very bad if I'd missed my flight back to Atlanta. If you are going to offer a wake up call service you need to be sure it is reliable. -wifi very bad -old building, no fridge, no airco and windows cannot be opened, which made it horribly hot even in april, bad sewers resulting in sewer smell in the room, toilet with issues. -no breakfast available -> either you loose time going to a restaurant or Starbucks this makes it a very bad price/quality, definitely notsuited as conference hotel. Dogs allowed.... Guests left them in the rooms, and constant howling and whining for hours.... Won't return because of this. no breakfast, no free parking, no fridge in our King Suite. not worth the price of the room. the wireless internets was horrible - up and down. This distrupted our training class. Room Service did not pickup our order, Front desk missed our wake up call, when we checked out, we couldn't, because there was no one at the front desk to check out with for over 10 minutes. NO room service facilities...no breakfast etc... The hotel needs to be more thoroughly cleaned, the price we paid was not expensive but the room was teeny tiny and looked out upon a gravel rooftop. I understand the hotel has charm and is older but a few upgrades like the TV and cleanliness would be a big improvement. needs upgrades. furniture is old and kinda gross. bathroom is small. No free parking, no free in room wi-fi. Old sticky smelly, charges extra for filthy refregirator and microwave, and internet connection. One night was economical and next two days the price jumped twice the first day.
