I was very pleased with the Crystal Inn SLC. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle service is very convenient for getting to and from the airport. Temple Square and major shopping centres are only a few blocks away (walking distance). The room was very comfortable, with all facilities you need. Breakfasts were very good, with all products freshly supplied. There are also a few diners around the hotel. Access to the highway is very convenient if you are travelling by car.
all reviews » the location is great for visiting the Downtown area. The public transportation is easy to use, thus no more paying for parking, buying extra fuel and close to shopping, tourist sites and more. And wow the breakfast they serve is included in the room cost and it is not just the industry standard of an old dried out sweet roll, and a orange or apple. It is a full spread hot meal. It was nice and quiet. I didn't hear much of any noise which is something I was hoping for. I also had accidentally left something behind, it was actually still there when I called about it the following morning. In the past, I had left something, came back five minutes later and it was gone. So, Kuddo's goes to the housekeeping staff. Thanks!. For the most part, staff were nice and the room had all the accomadations that were needed ex: microwave, tv, Fridge which was a huge plus. The rooms were very large for hotel rooms, which was an added beniefit as well. Shuttle service to and from the airport was also a nice added feature. I would stay here again, in the future. Arrived early and was allowed into room, staff very helpful and answered our many questions,very knowledgable about their city. Location to the city was great, close to many great eateries and a safe neighbourhood. Breakfast which varies by morning was excellent. A chain restaurant for dinner is just behind the hotel. Front desk went out of their way to accommodate us even though we arrived very late. Room was very quiet. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Location was great for my meetings downtown. Front desk clerk was very pleasant and it only took a few minutes to check in. Rates are reasonable and the breakfast is an asset. Staff was great. rooms clean. indoor pool/hot tub & spa were great after skiing. Within walking distance of down town & can see the sites. GREAT breakfast in the morning ... definitely a do over!!. The staff were extremely helpful in suggesting 'what to do in one day' & also an excellent restaurant recomendation, with directions. (Staff even came after us to point us in the right direction). Great breakfast but many of the tables were dirty. Hotels best asset was the breakfast. need to hire more people to keep the tables clean to get people through breakfast. Staff, breakfast, location. Sink was in the bedroom. At first this puzzled me until I noted the small bathroom. This worked out quite well for us. When we checked in the young man at the front desk was very friendly and made sure to get two rooms together. This was very nice of him. We were stranded trying to get back east because of a snow storm. The staff was very helpful. They gave us a late checkout. Breakfast was excellent. The best in tree weeks of travel. Staff was very helpfully. I would rate this a 4 star. Nice spacious room with large double sink vanity outside the shower/toilet room. Very clean and comfortable. the breakfast was AWESOME. The rooms were very big but I feel they need to replace some of the furniture. It is looking a bit worn. The second night we stayed we discovered that someone assuming maybe housekeeping g opened the window. We were on the fourth floor. The window was opened and we did not discover it until late that evening. The window had no screen nothing to protect the small children who were 5 and 19 months from falling out the window. The latch on the window was broke. We reported it to the front desk twice and they acted like it wasn't a big deal. This was a little disappointing!. The only thing was the noise from the people up stairs. Believe it was kids. Good variety at breakfast but eggs and potatoes were cold. when eating breakfast you are by the front doors everytime it opens you freeze. We had to eat so fast so the food wouldnt get cold. Everything fine except for the noisy fridge! I'm sure that's simple to be resolved. There was miss communication on checking out. I inform them that my check out date was April 19, but they checked me out on the 18th of April. I received the check out receipt on the 18th, but everything is good no hard feeling. Room near stairwell so did get some smoke smell in the corridors which must have drifted down the stairs from the next floor up. Was ok in room, but would be great if this was a non-smoking establishment. dubious looking characters hanging around on the streets outside. - Location was alright, but was close to state liquor store and McDonald's where a lot of homeless people hang out. I always felt safe, and would not hesitate to bring my family here, however, I more downtown location would be more ideal. Can't think of anything negative. The motel charged a $20 fee for each room I reserved, with 6 rooms it came to $120 which caused my bank account to be overdrawn. They did not tell me they were going to do that when I reserved the rooms. Breakfast was bad... but free. It was really busy when we got there and it took about 20 minutes to get checked in. Not their fault, probably just bad timing. No room safe. Its all good. Had loud guests above us. Nothing really; all fine. No reservation when we arrived. The front desk personnel wore latex gloves. Too many Chldren in the hot tub. No tissues in the room. nothing. Nothing. Location, trying to find. Internet did not work very well.
