What people say

From the moment we stepped out of our car, the bellmen were so professional and friendly! Walking into the hotel took my breath away, such amazing beauty and renovation of the train station, we were all in awe! The front desk people were very professional, speedy and nice. Rooms were immaculate; beds comfortable, best nights sleep I've had in a long time! My sister had a female emergency and I asked a maid the closest drug store was; she told me she could help and within minutes had pads to our.
all reviews Top notch hotel I give 5 Stars. First class service all the way! Beautiful on the inside. Ma and Pa shops within Union station along with some fast food. Restaurants within walking distance. Like Hard Rock and Landry's to name a few. Free outside Concerts couple blocks away from hotel in summer time. Nice workout facility- with all the things you might need. Pool - They provide towels on the chairs. When you valet your car they leave two complimentary bottles water each time you use your ca. The ambience, the room, the Station Grille--excellent service and food, the staff are very helpful and courteous, the great fitness center, the promise of a Starbucks soon, the pool. I lost my wedding band and a staff member, Chandra in housekeeping, found it in the fitness room and she notified Kenny in Loss Prevention. He contacted me as we were traveling back to Chicago on Amtrak and said it would be shipped to my home address. I can't tell you how grateful I am for that kind of service and . Beautiful hotel, they are slowly renovating! Good for them. Great location, great staff, they provide warm cookies at the front desk upon check in or any time I asked. Also there is a mall in the middle of the hotel, a nice pool, a hard Rock Cafe and a sushi place apart of the hotel in the back. Also there is a wonderful old man downstairs that paint portraits and he does a great job and said that he has been there 18 years, if you have time you should stop by and get that done. I have nothing . I liked everything about this hotel. It is very Victorian. We had a wonderful view. It is walking distance to Hard Rock Cafe, Landry's, a great Italian place and a Awesome Irish Pub on the corner. The best part was the comfort of the beds. I thought I was sleeping in my own bed. Very Very nice hotel. Gorgeous lobby and I admire the adaptive reuse of the former Union Station. Many features still exist! Furnishings and decoration in public areas are luxe! The cookies they give at check out are a lovely touch, though I don't eat sugar myself, the grandchildren enjoyed them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful and all the staff from the doorman to management were courteous. They answered any questions we had about the area including restaurants to try or what areas of the city were best to avoid. Beautiful hotel set in a former train station with vintage decor. Excellent bar in the lobby with friendly staff. Shopping facilities in the grounds (Cardinals Clubhouse!) as well as a few other dining options aside from the Hilton's restaurant. The beds were the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in (away from home). Atmosphere was great. I have never used valet parking before and they were great, so convenient and friendly!!!!! All employees were great. the history of the hotel was really cool. Staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. would recommend hotel to travelers that had young kids if it had a indoor pool during the fall...winter and spring months. We are retired and travel widely all over the world. This hotel is one of the best we have stayed in. Beautiful building, extremely helpful staff and ideally situated for commencing a trip on Route 66. It is a beautiful place to stay. It is centrally located and you feel very safe. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The kids had a blast in the pool and us adults loved the reception area. From arrival to departure I have nothing but praises. The staff were very friendly and accommodations were superior. The chocolate chip nut cookies we got at check in are memorable. Grand space undergoing extensive remodeling, but didn't intrude. Book in rooms in the old building. Wonderful dining room. Close to metro to get to the Arch or the airport. The building is wonderful, we were in the original hotel. The staff were very friendly, the breakfasts were very good, lots of fresh fruit. We found it easy to find. Fabulous experience. Everyone polite & helpful. Charming ambience, comfortable bed, buffet breakfast. Elegant luxury hotel in downtown St. Louis ! A great find!. Staff was very attentive at check in and was more than willing to answer all the questions we had for sightseeing and restaurants. The lobby was beautiful. This hotel was fantastic well worth the money we paid. There was plenty to choose from for Breakfast. Our room was very clean. Staff very helpful. Love it. Beautiful building. It was convenient for everything we wanted to do in St. Louis. Staff was very helpful in planning some of our sightseeing and meals. It was great. Within walking distance of great free concerts in the park and great food. You really did not have to leave the hotel to have fun. Convenient location, beautifully restored, comfortable rooms, great food, shopping and several restaurants to choose from and friendly staff. We very much like the location and surroundings of this hotel. The public areas of the hotel are well done. Room facilities good. Everything was wonderful, a beautiful historic "castle" with marvelous amenities and a friendly, go-all-the-way-to-help-you staff. Loved the view of the room and outside of hotel you had a great view of the arches..the breakfast in the morning was amazing!. great staff took time to talk and answer questions woulf recommend but explain the situations with what we did not like. from the entrance to the lobby to the room and the surrounding grounds with amenities, all was first class and above. The lobby is a converted train station, and is very impressive! I also enjoyed the cookie at check-in!. My overall stay was excellent and would gladly refer friends and family..... Great staff very helpful. beautiful, comfortable, bed and pillows wonderful, easy to get to and close to everything down town. Valet staff was excellent n very helpful in finding places to visit and enjoy our stay in St.Louis. Loved the Main Hall/ Reception. Staff so polite, friendly & helpful. The location was great and the hotel itself was really interesting. The staff was friendly and excellent. The food was divine. Atmosphere, centrally located, food, just a great stay!. Character of the building - converted railroad station. Location, unique (beautiful) structure, clean and safe. The Room The overall display of the hotel was wonderful. I really liked the location, and the look of the place. Everything was great, from the staff to the location. The venue was beautiful and full of rich history!. Beautiful architecture. Historically important. Nice hotel and friendly staff. Great location. Location was great for site seeing & food. great location, lovely hotel, staff very nice. the amazing architecture, the pool,. Convienant to arch and city museum. Staff awesome and beautiful room. location and price were great. Good location at union station. bed/pillows : very comfortable. Breakfast- I think they could step it up a notch. I would have liked to see more of a selection for the buffet. I would like to have seen the refrigerator stocked with beer, soda, water and some snacks I did not like the bar In the middle out in the open. Pool hard to access. Not sure if there are shuttle buses...we always took a cab. Parking was a bit of a hassle (to self park) worth the extra to have them valet park for you, The only thing not close is the arch, but I didn't care. We just stayed one night, there was nothing we disliked. A few vacant stores in the shopping mall. no indoor pool...not good for little kids that want to swim. The fountain was not working as it was still cold. Our room was not serviced one day. Did not have a small refrig in the room. Reservations were made for three people yet washclothes handtowels and bath towels along with drinking glasses and coffee was for two people. I can't think of anything. The housekeeping was not as good as it might be. Towels were taken for laundry but not replaced, cups not always supplied, staff called at door when room was still occupied. Breakfast prices, but they gave us a complimentary voucher. That they didn't have microwaves that was all.. no microwave in room no refrig in room had to pay to park no continental breakfast very strange getting to room with luggage and very long distance. The floor layout is a bit confusing. The hallway decor feels dated. nothing. 1. Bedrooms Average 2. Union Station Mall needs redefining in terms of target audience. Offering needs moving up market. The valet could be better. Nothing. Nothing. Not as central as advertised. The View No fridge in room to store food. the construction. None. Elevators a bit on the sketchy side and we found a pair of underwear behind a chair in our room. The cream for the coffee was bad in the room so I had to go outside the hotel to get coffee on a saturday morning. That was bad. bar/restaurant could have stayed open later as we were coming from a concert and would have loved a bite to eat afterwards. Quite a walk to get in as renovation was taking place. mattress did not fit the frame so you can continually bump into the metal frame. Very noisey (thin walls) but there was an event going on so that was probably the problem. People cannot control their children, not hotel's fault.
