The rooms are very spacious beautifully appointed and fully equipped with refrigerator, safe, toiletries, yummy robes, hairdryer, iron and board complimentary water and so much more. Well, if you have to point the exact center and downtown of Providence,

Service was excellent, friendly and attentive front desk and concierge--available at all hours. The front desk upgraded me to a larger room with morning sun. The bed was very comfortable, firm with a mountain of soft pillows.
Good, fast (and complimentary) wireless.
Fitness room was empty at 5:30 a.m. easily accessible and with towels and bottled water.

I love that the hotel is unique and desn't feel like any chain hotel. I also love the history of the hotel and that it has been open since 1929.

Due to some mis-hap, the hotel didn't have our booking. However, they were able to accommodate us and one of our rooms was better than we had originally booked, at no extra cost, so - result! Only stayed one night so don't feel we got the full benefit of the hotel, however the staff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly in relation to the missing booking.
