I was traveling with my two grand daughters and the staff went out of their way to talk to the girls and genuinely show an interest in what they had been doing and had seen in Chicago. We arrived three hours before check in but they found a room for us right away. It's very close to public transit and Amtrack. The pool was small but our kids had a great time using it. The free wifi was great and the breakfast was excellent.

Starting our experience a week before arrival the hotel's concierge, jen, helped make our trip an unforgettable experience by arranging the best reservations for us at great restaurants and jazz venues.   Always clean, they keep upgrading things, eg tv'S. Since the State Police always stay there, it's an added "safety factor." Safety has never really been a concern for me. - The hotel was very clean. The breakfast bar was complete. The internet connectivity worked.
