Room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Unusual to see hard surface floors in the room, but made me feel better about cleanliness, potential bug issues. We arrived around midnight after an international flight. Ricky at the front desk was so welcoming and sweet. Our room, #612 was extremely quiet and restful. We didn't have time in the morning to try the buffet breakfast but it looked delicious with hot scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, roasted potatoes, pancakes and hot oatmeal. Not.
all reviews » We arrived an hour early and were let into our room which we didn't expect. Staff were very friendly at reception and gave us free spanish tapas vouchers for use at the bar in the hotel. Lovely modern room with a huge really comfortable bed (more comfortable than the bed on the cruise ship that we joined a few days later). Loved the bathroom with brilliant shower and wall mounted containers of paraben free bodywash, shampoo and conditioner. The tapas were generous and very tasty. Police stat. We enjoyed the facilities ie free wi-fi, especially for the kids on facebook, that is so important to them, the two bathrooms in our premium room especially for 6 people, daily service to clean the room, very central to to walk to all areas of interest, lovely breakfast especially the fruit and yoghurt, the kids loved the pancakes and bacon. We would stay again and reccommend it to other families for convenience for shopping and of course the metro is very close also. Overall an excellent place. Hotel is in great location near Time Square, Penn Station and Empire State Bulding (a few blocks walk). Subway is directly at the hotel. Hotel staff is perfect and very professional. We has very spacious, clear nad design Premium room with two comfortable beds and two bathroom, which is perfect for two couples. Bed comfortable. Coffee machine was a nice touch as was the bottled water. Ate in hotel for breakfast and although a little expensive, the all inclusive buffet offered a large choice of food. Had one evening meal in the hotel and the tapas with a special offer of a free bottle of wine was very good and competitively priced. From the moment we walked in the door, we were impressed! The staff was very helpful and friendly, the lobby was stylish and very clean, and the atmosphere was super. We were blown away at how large the room was for being in Manhattan! The location was great and we had requested an extra bed in the room as we are a family of 5. We were given a great family room with a bunk bed so all the children had their own bed. This is not common in New York. The room was modern, with a great bathroom which was spacious. We had to pay extra for breakfast but we thought it was worth it, with a lovely buffet. The location is central to everything, including the High Line, Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Chelsea and all parts in-between. A very upscale room with spacious quarters and a well thought out bathroom design. Penn Station nearby, so it's easy to catch a subway to Brooklyn or anywhere else. Function and comfort. It was so close to shopping and some of the sites you should see when you go to New York. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. The room was cleaned every day. It was my 50th birthday and we received a free upgrade to a premium room which was fantastic, lounge area, 2 bathrooms and 2 king size beds. Reception and concierge staff were very helpful. Very modern trendy hotel, interesting ultra designed rooms with lots of space and superb bathrooms, New York hotels can be a bit hit and miss but this one ticked all the boxes, great bar area downstairs and close to Times Square and Madison Square Garden. I arrived at the hotel at around 10AM and I was thinking of leaving my luggage there until the check in time. Surprisingly they said a room was ready and they let me check in early. The interior design was amazing and welcoming. I felt at ease and quite relaxed in my stay. Close walk to Hell's Kitchen, making it a perfect spot for foodies. Location was very good. Decor was light and contemporary. Bar was a great place to sit and have a quiet drink: or watch some live music, depending on the day. Didn't dislike anything but it was more along the lines of rustic/chic than plush luxury. I think it is an excellent hotel for traveling families. I could have benefited from cutlery being left in the room as some nights the kids were hungry, I kept a box a cereal and milk for these occasions and used the paper cups as bowls. I did receive cutlery when requested however the cleaning staff removed it. My shower cap was taken one day and not replaced, this was not a big problem as it was the 2nd last day there but it is the small things that are important. I really have no other comments to make. One small lack: In the kitchen missing cups and cutlery at least. There are only paper cups of coffee and tea. Air conditioning unit was very close to headboard of bed and extremely noisy. Fortunately we were able to have the window open and turn the unit off. We were on the 6th floor and at the back of the hotel and our room was overlooked by apartment building and possibly a factory, fortunately we were out most of the time so it wasn't a big issue. Nothing!. The lobby restaurant/bar did close early (11 p.m.), and some of the other restaurants in the area closed at midnight. So, if you are looking for a drink or late-night eats, there is relatively slim pickings unless you want to venture to the madness of Times Square. Not a thing!. Front lobby area was a little small, got somewhat congested with more than two parties trying to check in/out at the same time. There was nothing I didn't like. Light bulbs had burned out in our room and so lighting was a challenge. And I am a sucker for a bath tub the end of a hard travel day. But that's it. I'm spoiled. Really nice hotel. Thank you!. Breakfast should be included in the rate when booking this hotel, not separately as it is today. The location I think about the location as an afterthought - we were able to get to and from as quickly as possible - I guess I am not used to seeing bags of garbage on the street - not at this hotel - but seriously it seems like the stores don't mind leaving trash bags on the side of the street...I Guess it is fine I just had not seen this before. There was just one member of the Concierge Team who was not so helpful his name was Sidi. Otherwise everything was just wonderful. Nothing really, don't let the police precinct next door put you off, we didn't hear anything. Bit of a wait for check-out but nothing major. The hotel is not in the best street as it's a bit industrial but this did not worry us as it was quiet at night. The kids wanted a pool. The room was a little cooler than preferred on a winter's night. We had trouble getting it warmed up but it was late and we were tired and did not call Maintenance. Breakfast is too expensive - for much less we could easily eat at Le Pain Quotidien, Au Bon Pain or another good bakery. The prices at the restaurant were a little high but the quality was excellent. Also would have liked to have had breakfast included with hotel stay. All in all I would still enjoy coming back to the hotel again sometime in the future!. There could have been a microwave in the room. Breakfast buffet was a bit pricey. Maybe have a breakfast set instead.. A microwave in the room would have been a great addition!. The lobby was a bit crowded. The cost was a bit pricey which made us only able to stay there one night. For the money breakfast should be complimentary. Also the drinks at the bar were expensive. $8.00 for a bottle of beer. Gym was very small, could be better with a slightly bigger space and more equipment. the street on which the hotel is situated is somewhat narrow and doesn't give a good feeling. elevators are not up to the mark. breakfast set up is not good and also the spread is not up to its value. Room servicing didn't happen until 6:00pm on day 1, at which time we needed the room so it didn't get done at all. Air conditioning was pretty noisy. Quite expensive, although this is an issue with NYC generally rather than this hotel in particular. Room very small - more what I expect in Paris than in New York. Concierge messed up cab reservation: I ended up paying twice for an expensive cab (the hotel refunded this when I complained, however). Need to walk one block down from main streets to hotel. Felt OK, not great. bathrooms do not have fans,little storage space,. The location was too close to the police station. Tiny gym. Doors constantly slamming - so hard that my own door shook! I was regularly woken up by noisy guests on one side coming back at 2.30am and on the other by a boisterous boy who was up and awake by 7.00am. Not great for sleep quality.
