Very clean rooms with that are larger than most with a bathroom that is larger than most. Extra comfortable matresses,sheets and pillows along with a quiet environment made for a delightful sleep. We were there when motel was sold out and still had a quiet night's sleep. Would definitely return!. The price was right for the night. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice that the windows opened. It was easy to get to once we knew where we were going.The staff was very nice. It was nice that you used paper cups and not glass.since you never know how clean the glasses are.
all reviews » My room was very large and well-equipped. It was also very quiet - it is set back from the street, so I didn't hear any traffic noise. The staff was very accommodating. I would highly recommend this place. The rooms were quiet and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The first room didn't have a working ac unit, and we were promptly switched to a new room where the ac worked fine. Room was large and clean with desk and enough drawer space for clothes. Plenty of towels. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was 3 miles from downtown Newport right on rt. 114. The way we were treated from check in to check out.We have stayed at much higher chains & not been as happy as with the customer service we received at this motel. how nice and clean it was inside and out. Everyone was very friendly. the rooms were newly painted and the outside was bright and fresh looking. Enjoyed staying here. Very pleasant desk clerk, Nick...and he upgraded our room at no charge. The fridge in the second room smelled like spoiled food, so we didn't use it. Coffee wasnt very good. This room faced parking lot, and could benefit from a sheer curtain for privacy during daytime. location was out of Newport town. breakfast selection. Cleaner took dirty towels but failed to replace them. Safe needed new batteries. However, reception staff sorted. Breakfast choices. The brochure told us 15 mins from port Judith ferry! We returned our car around the corner & it cost us $80 for a half ht ride to catch the ferry! You also need reservations. Windows faced the outside hallway, couldnt keep blinds open. AC too close to second bed. pool in need of repair, liner ripped in many places, need to run pool filter more often & add more chlorine. Was given a dirty towel instead of clean towel.. Unfortunately the motel is on the edge of town some distance from restaurants. For some reason we were located at the far end of the rooms next to a rather unsavoury group and, in my case next to the laundry room. The room (carpet?) smelled very peculiar. The place was NOT clean. There was so much dust! We needed extra towels in the morning and they had no one to bring them so we had to get them ourselves. pity, we found a cigarette filter in our room. So not sure if the room was cleaned in a proper way. Desk staff not very outgoing/friendly. Mirror in bathroom needed replacing (old and worn). Very obvious odor of cigarette smoke when first arriving in room even though it was a non-smoking room. Odor dissapated in a few hours which leads me to believe that it was probably the cleaning crew who had been smoking in the room. Old fashioned and outdated premises, breakfast poor. Very, very, Very basic. Handicapped parking provided no ramp ?!? Everywhere you looked repairs were needed. Way outdated. Rooms smell of dampness. Musty and run down.
