  I came to San Diego to attend a conference and visit. I was really interested in a clean and safe location where I would literally just sleep and shower. I loved that there was a cafe/diner right by- it made breakfast easy. It was a great location- just a walk away from the coast and the gaslamp. The staff were helpful. Also there was a nice gym a... what people say » vailable, which I would like to have taken advantage of if I had more time. - although the hotel was not what we expected it was okay considering we were just there to sleep. if you're looking for a cheap decent place to sleep this is the place. if you're looking for somewhere to be comfortable probably not the place for you. I'm a pretty easy going girl who have to get ready for Halloween party and this place was just ok for that.

  I absolutely loved this place. The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful. The house is awesome and very clean. Great common room/tv room, free wifi throughout, two ipads in the lobby for free use as well; kitchen is nice too. Loved little touches like an outlet and shelf in every bunk. I think it took me like 15 minutes to walk - This hostel is absolutely amazing, and by far the best I've ever visited. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, with helpful staff. It's located in Little Italy, which is a brief 15 minute walk from downtown and the Gaslamp Quarter. It's clean and has a very home feeling to it. Every day the hostel offers activities, both daytime and evening. Breakfast and dinner is complimentary. I was very comfortable here, and sad to leave when my stay was over. Will definitely stay here next time I visit
