    As a mom traveling with 2 children, we REALLY enjoyed our stay at The Baron Hotel. Dwight, the front desk wizard, was friendly, helpful, and so great with the kids. The location is in a very safe area which is easily accessible from public transit. It is an older hotel, but this added to its charm rather than detract from it. (My kids, later wa... what people say » lking by an upscale modern hotel lobby, commented how glad they were to stay at The Baron, because "it's more fun and not as snobby.") If you're in DC - I had read some negative reviews before our trip , but decided to take a chance. Very glad we did. The staff was very helpful , the room was clean and neat and with vintage charm. The staff at the restaurant/bar were so nice , gave us ice in our cooler every time we needed with no problem at all. Loved the 4 days we spent there. Would stay again in a heartbeat! As for having no elevator, it is only 4 stories high, no big deal at all people!! Maybe count it as your daily exercise to walk a few s
