  You can walk to the piers from this hotel, its .8 miles away so not bad at all.   As expected with Marriott hotels, it was clean, the staff very helpful and mattress was very comfortable! The valet parking was very expensive but worth it to just get out of your car and hand over the keys. Unfortunately, I lost my car claim ticket. There is no much space to place crib - maybe King room is more comfortable in that case. But armchair was great for nursing. Beside that we liked everything in that hotel, especially location. Location could not be better.

  Our stay at the Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf was great. We had a clean, tidy room that was serviced daily. We were a block walk away from where our hop on hop off bus departed from. Location was great! Just 5min walk to Pier 39. A lot safer area to stay than where people from our tour were staying (Union Square area) as there were very few ... what people say » homeless people, crackheads etc. I felt a lot safer staying down here and walking around at night. Bear in mind you do have to still have to be mind - The location is perfect for those who want to explore San Fran on foot. Chinatown, Little Italy, Lombard St, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, and the Marina are all within a 10-15 minute walking distance. Take bus 49 from outside the hotel and you can take a quick ride ($2/day pass) to go visit the Painted Ladies or Japan Town. There is great food nearby and tours that go to the bridge and beyond. The hotel itself is very clean, with nice staff and great pricing for this area. We will def

  This hotel is "top drawer" all the way! - The hotel was quite grand, and very luxerious in the common areas. The location worked well for us, as we seemed to be no more than a 10 minute cab ride from just about every where we went. The view from our Tower room was the clincher. We had a beautiful bay view.
