Close to md Anderson. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The room was neat and clean. The bed was comfortable. Only complaint was hearing the metro-train whistle blowing all night just across the road. It's was a nice clean hotel for an excellent price. The staff were wonderful. Some of the staff were very helpful. I must make special mention of Ms. Deianara Senegal. She was always willing to assist and was very efficient and pleasant to us and to other guests. She apologized for all the inconveniences we were faced with and did all she could to make our stay better.
all reviews » Convenience to job site. Reasonable price. shuttle service quiet. Lower price. Dineara was a wonderful front desk person. She is a problem solver and an individual who will go out of her way to make you feel at home. This is particularly important given the circumstances for which we were there. Then there was Terry the shuttle driver. Man!!! What a gentleman and a person who belongs in hospitality. I would visit Houston again and know that i could call upon this guy and get good directions, information, pleasantries and help. Two beautiful people!!!!!. The staff was very friendly which made up for the room. Parking was conveniently located just outside the room. 5 minutes walking to metrorail. Floors were not swept well. There were a lot of loose human hair remaining on the bathroom floor. Only complaint was hearing the metro- train whistle blowing all night just across the road. Some of the staff were unfriendly. The room was never cleaned on time. We had to make several requests to have it cleaned. On many occasions we were unable to get clean bath towels and toilet paper as they were out of stock. We were promised to have our room changed from smoking to non smoking, but this never happened. Even after I explained that I was asthmatic and that the smell was affecting me. Pet friendly hotel...room lodging pet should be for people with pet. Staff apparently don't know the life span of fleas and shampooing carpet will not by any means eliminate the possibility of being bitten. The idea of "Pet Friendly Lodging" has not been fully investigated. no fresh linens for 1 week only had very bad smoking room available upon check in. The noise and the towel smells like hospital. The Assistant Manager was very impolite and not at all helpful. I had to remain with my room uncleaned for 2 weeks though the policy states after 8 days. It is unheard of that a hotel should run out of toilet paper. If i book a non-smoling room i should get that and if not at least make me feel that you are working on it to get me the first which becomes available. My friend uses insulin and has to keep it cold. We had to buy ice and keep it in the refrigerator because it did not work. 1. Carpet was dirty & dusty 2. There were crickets in the room & were making so much noise , especially in the night . 3. There were some events at reliant stadium & the roads leading to extended stay were all heavily jammed. No one do the housekeeping even after the request. A sign in the bathroom shows that the housekeeping work will be done every 7 days, So I asked for it at the 8th day I stayed there. But there's no housekeeping till the 13th day I checked out. The bathroom is not so clean and a lot of hairs on the shower curtain before I checked in.
