  staff was helpful, location was convenient thanks to bus 52 to UC and bas 51B at 5 block. we could have breakfast in the room thanks to the coffee machine which was provided. for people going to UC for conferences or similar i strongly suggest to avoid the expensive hotels usually suggested by the academic facilities and choose a cheaper one which... what people say » is very well connected to the campus - The price is the main selling point, but location is great and room was plenty big, clean and everything worked well inside. There is a fridge, microwave, cable flat screen tv. Even though it's old, it has been nicely kept up and looks charming in an old California style. We walked to 4th street shops and great parks nearby.

  The room was simply appointed and clean. Adequate parking. The area was pretty quiet. We were able to walk to the concert venue we were attending (The Freight & Salvage Coffee House). The hotel manager was smiling, friendly, and very helpful -- he upgraded us to a King room from the Queen we had booked, and when I asked when the continental br... what people say » eakfast would be out, he offered to put it out 30 minutes earlier than usual (7:30 instead of 8) in order for us to eat something before we left at 8: - I went to uc Berkeley for an academic conference and I really had a pleasant stay! The room we got had a king bed, a microwave, a fridge, and about everything you expect from a standard hotel room. The bed was especially comfortable. I could hear buses and cars occasionally after midnight, but that really didn't bother me at all. I brought with me ear plugs but ended up not using them. The motel seems to be family owned and the staff were very friendly. Overall it was clean, cozy, comfortable,

  The place needs some exterior TLC, but the interiors of the rooms were excellent. The hotel rooms were recently renovated and were in great shape. It doesn't look great from the outside, but the rooms were very clean and comfortable.   Value. The cleaning staff was really cleaning the common areas.There was a sign indicating that the building would be dangerous in the event of an earthquake. I guess this Is a negative, but I survived, so it was kind of exciting. For a budget property, it was decent. - Love the price and hot water shower just wanted a place to sleep in the Berke... what people say » ley area for my budget and based off the reviews was nervous but I was pleasantly surprised!
