The room was simply appointed and clean. Adequate parking. The area was
pretty quiet. We were able to walk to the concert venue we were
attending (The Freight & Salvage Coffee House). The hotel manager
was smiling, friendly, and very helpful -- he upgraded us to a King room
from the Queen we had booked, and when I asked when the continental
breakfast would be out, he offered to put it out 30 minutes earlier than
usual (7:30 instead of 8) in order for us to eat something before we

I went to uc Berkeley for an academic conference and I really had a
pleasant stay! The room we got had a king bed, a microwave, a fridge,
and about everything you expect from a standard hotel room. The bed was
especially comfortable. I could hear buses and cars occasionally after
midnight, but that really didn't bother me at all. I brought with me
ear plugs but ended up not using them. The motel seems to be family
owned and the staff were very friendly. Overall it was clean, cozy,
comfortable, .
Microwave, fridge, new tiles in the bathroom, daily maid service, great location. Near down town Berkeley, UC Berkeley. Easy to get to San Francisco on BART. Courteous staff.

Good position: Train to San Francisco (2 min by foot) and market very close.

Very clean outside, but... Beds good and, after complaining, added pillows and spare blanket were provided. Good location.
The water pressure was terrible (as in, what water pressure?), the
coffee maker in the room was ok but the cups did not have lids, so we
didn't use it.
The only little complaint I had was about the shower--the water was a
bit too small. Everything else was perfect.
Satellite TV nice for the amount of channels, but navigating it is a bit slow.
They did not service our room, so no beds done, no clean towels and
although the room advertises as having a refrigerator; it did not work.
Park is a bit tight. Nice that its free though and there's also plenty of street parking.
There is street noise from University Avenue.
TV hard to operate.
Water saver shower head annoying.

sparse, noisy airconditioner that sort of worked, no safe for valuables, staff was indifferent at best- never made bed.
Very dated inside. No closet or cupboard for clothes, just fixed short mono-pole to hold all. Free wifi but no desk space. No hooks anywhere such as bathroom. TV recep. poor. Breakfast provision was a joke in a locked office. Poor water pressure. Double room but 1 chair. Appears very expensive when compared to other places better provisioned.
