Staffs are very helpful, friendly and the place is very homely and comfortable. Apple and cookies are always available at the counter for your enjoyment. My stay at Anchorage is more enjoyable and memorable because of Anchorage Grand Hotel. Thank you to George, Pearl, Georgia and all the housekeepers for the wonderful experience at your hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The location was excellent with restaurants, shops and tours within an easy walk. The unit was well-equipped and comfortable so was most suitable for a week's stay.

Trains are noisy, but we live near trains at home so it didn't really bother us- we found their honking funny!. I would be hard pressed to come up with a negative. Bedroom was a little small, but still well kept and the most use was made of the available room. You're close to the train station, so keep that in mind. the train whistles. High cost, but not out of line for Anchorage. Same breakfast the entire time. uncomfortable furnishings. Trains blowing their whistles constantly during the day and through the night,. Poor wi-fi coverage. Intermittent to nonexistent in room. The noise from the train station across the road can take getting used to. You will need earplugs!. The mattress needed replacing, and so e better pillows. Breakfast was only fair. no air conditioning very noisy unfriendly staff breakfast in a bag asked front deck to call us a cab for 4:30 A.M. (didn't happen). 1.terrible location-next to train station-very very very noisy 2.very old-with old facilities,furnitures etc.
