Everything was perfect. The staff, the food, the room everything was just perfect. Its also a great location just between windermere and bowness. Brilliant stay, fully recommend. - excellent accomodation clean tidy value for money breakfast was very good and plenty to eat from our personnal point of view we could not fault it at all

The facilities available close by, ie, leisure centre with spa and outdoorhot tub and water sports centre. The hotel staff were very helpful and theroom was spacious and very comfortable. - Excellent location, service and rooms. Great breakfast choice and excellent quality food.

Very helpful staff from the moment I arrived. As a hill walker all I want is good clean and comfortable accommodation to return to each day which I got. Breakfasts were excellent, a good start to a day in the hills.

Hosts, Wills & Pauline were very friendly, meet & greet as well as discussions at different times, it was almost like being with friends.
Room 9 was clean with a lovely view to the west.
Bathroom was well sized, clean with modern fittings.
Breakfast was plentiful, good homestyle cooking.
Hope to come back again.

Everything about the Hotel is first class. From the moment we checked in the staff are so friendly and very professional everything was excellent. It was my birthday and we had chocolates left in the room and also a nice touch there had been placed a hot water bottle in the bed. Never had that before. Yes all in all a first class hotel one to come

My friend and I recently visited Oakthwaite for 2nights and we genuinely couldn't say any more positive about our experience. The guesthouse is set in beautifully kept grounds ideally situated between Windermere and Bowness. A fantastic B & B with a very welcoming host. It has been decorated to a top standard. Breakfast was available in a lovely little cafe in the town which was lovely. Would definitely recommend. Thank you very much for making us feel welcome.
