From the moment we arrived we were treated like old friends as opposed to guests. The hotel is a haven of peace and tranquility offering warm and very comfortable, quality interior accommodation . The menu and wine list is excellent, and the food served was high quality and very tasty. We would highly recommend this excellent establishment to anyone,and look forward to returning. Lovely hotel, the room was spotless with good facilities and the staff went out of their way for us, very helpful and accommodating. It was in a good location, only a short walk to Windermere Village. I would definitely consider staying here again, and have already recommended it to family and friends.

Arrivals after 19:00 will be treated as a no-show and will be charged in full, as per cancellation policy. Please note that The Hideaway has a strict non-smoking policy. Guests will be asked to vacate the room immediately if evidence of smoking is found, and a minimum charge of GBP 200.00 will be applied to the credit/debit card used to make the reservation, to cover all additional cleaning and dry cleaning costs. Bookings for 3 rooms or more cannot be accepted. Please note the property does not have a lift. Please inform The Hideaway At Windermere in advance of your expected arrival time. Travelling information

By Car (from the M6 motorway):
- Leave the M6 motorway at junction 36 and follow the signs for Windermere (the road is dual carriageway for most of the way).
- As you enter Windermere, you will pass the Windermere Hotel on the right (raised on the hillside). Do not turn left into Windermere village, but continue on the main road, passing the NatWest Bank and a row of shops on the left-hand side.
- Continue on past the next turning on your left (Elleray Road), and take the next turning on the left, which is Phoenix Way.
- The Hideaway At Windermere is on the right-hand side.

By Train:
Transfer from mainline trains at Oxenholme train station, where you will find direct trains to Windermere. Taxis are generally readily available at Windermere train station, or alternatively, the Hideaway At Windermere is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the station.
