Close proximity to London (15 min express train) Close to Warner Bros Studio - The Harry Potter Experience (5 mins by car) Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Wrote out driving instructions to get to Harry Potter. We had a room for 3 and it was huge. Beds v comfy. Plenty of tea and coffee. Ice machine down the hall was fantastic for keeping things cold. Parking station nearby was cheap and convenient (6 pounds for 24hrs or more) Easy location to find. 1 min walk to main shops 8 min walk.
all reviews » I stayed at the Jury's Inn Watford for one night as a stop off after celebrating my Dad's 50th Birthday. I was actually really surprised at how lovely the hotel was! The staff were so polite, the room was just lovely and the bed was so comfortable, the food was devine! I had the Jury's Inn Signiture burger - was delicious! I would say my stay was just as nice as the Hilton, which I didn't expect! I would quite happily stay here again. The hotel is very conveniently situated to the centre of town as well as a very short distance from the station. Staff were excellent as was the breakfast - a great start to the day. The staff were all fantastic, really helpful and efficient. Obviously very well trained but able to act on their own initiative. When things went wrong for us they were great. Spacious comfortable, clean bedrooms. Very quiet hotel even though it was full of tourists! Staff were helpful and friendky but not in your face. Great value for money. Handy for the theatre and shops and railway station. They were also helpful in getting an extension for my medical pump. They also stored luggage for us after check out. friendly,helpful staff.Rooms well appointed and very comfortable.Very convenient for visiting Harry Potter World or hopping on a train to visit London attractions. Shower did not have much pressure. We were told on arrival that we would have to pay for internet even though it was advertised as free wifi. Turned out is was a misunderstanding and we got it for free. No parking facilities however the reception staff gave excellent advice on the safest parking with clear directions. After parking, it was only a two minute walk back to the hotel. A shame there was no parking attached to the hotel but we were able to park just a short distance away. The room was only set up for 2 people, we booked for 4, and had to wait while the extra bed was made at 10pm. Aircon didn't work, we could barely breathe. Sofa bed is sold for 2 children, absolutely not big enough even for 2 kids aged 3 and 5. Nothing, my stay was pretty perfect. Breakfast was average, some of the buffet had run out and I saw no butter. I did call to query my bill. No real problem just an overcharge on breakfast, there was a trainie on when I checked out, again no problem we had just got confused over the breakfast, think it was because there was two rooms. what I did'nt like much was the attitude of the lady who took my call the following day, felt she was a little off, and I was'nt complaining just queried the bill!. Couldn't find a single fault. Buffet breakfast was £10.00, a little expensive, so we didn't bother. beds could be bit more comfortable, but really only a small thing, as all the positives outweighed this. Had to get a taxi from hotel to Luton airport! Hotel had quoted £35.00, however taxi company charged £55.00. They either need to organise a different cab company or ensure pricing is correct!. No wifi, no free internet ( all paid for extra) bar and cafe pricey and didn't feel like part of the hotel. Kenco instant coffee-have to be that picky because everything else is great. Oh and no free WiFi. No biscuits in the room with tea facilities. Shower door got stuck. Cooked breakfast items could be hotter. Paid for internet. As we were three mature adults in a triple room beds should have been three singles rather than a double and a single although the hotel did put in a camp bed which was comfortable. another guest burst into our room at 9.45 pm, the room having been double-booked. This was very worrying. However, the other guest and front desk staff dealt with the situation very rapidly and efficiently. My room was called by front desk within minutes as reassurance. We were offered free drinks, which were personally brought to the room by the manager. We were all OK and it was dealt with very well, but really should not have happened. Other than that, no complaints. Buffet breakfast was chaotic on one morning. Staff appeared disinterested. Spent some time waiting for crockery and cutlery to be made available. Next morning much better. The breakfast wasnt that nice. Bathroom was tiny. Bed was to close to wall on one side while other side of room had a load of space with just a chair in it. Food in restaurant was lovely but breakfast was never really hot. Did not like that a triple room did not have 3 single beds. Do not think Costa food bar a high standard. Did not get the service for a superior triple occupation. There wasn't anything i didn't like. groups next door to us were a bit noisy late on but reception dealt with this promptly. Just stayed for one night not much can comment. Nothing. Disappointing service with breakfast, choice was poor for the price of £10-00 per person other hotels and have better deals e,g children under 16 eat for free. Twice the cleaners came into the room and woke us up!! This was all before 9.00am,. The only bug bearer for us was when the room cards didnt work on the lifts and into our room. We only stayed 2 nights and had to change the cards twice. Expensive bar. Expensive breakfast, walk 3mins into town and have an inexpensive Wetherspoons breakfast. No on site parking. No complaints whatsoever. Monday morn breakfast was cold as hardly any one attending. It would be better to ask individuals what cooked food they would like and do it to order.when busy stick with the buffet. room facing main road much too noisy with cars revving up by traffic lights late at night. Dont stay in these rooms take a courtyard room. Restaurant menu was a bit 'too posh' for my tastes - could do with some simpler choices of food (e.g. Burger (good quality) & Chips).
