I liked the fact that the staff were well trained and had not yet reached that '' tired feeling ''' with customers. Just what we needed for the night out in Watford - hotel convenient, spotless and friendly. Brilliant setup, clean, all facilities there, good location and room very quiet even when next to the station. Comfortable, clean, quiet,. We found the hotel very clean,well presented and modern.The rooms where also very clean and the beds are extremely comfy.We didn't manage to make it down for the breakfast so we're unable to comment on that but we did have drinks on the evening and the resaurant/bar area was clean,bright and the staff were very friendly.I would definatly stay there again.

Local, Simple and Good Value !!. Very easy access to town, clean and spacious. Room was particularly good size, even for a family. It wa snear the train station. Cleanliness. It would have been nice if there had been more than one tea bag person, This surely is a small overhead and would make a great difference to the welcoming feeling of the hotel .The cost of a cup of tea from reception is excessive. The reception staff need to be trained in the finer points of tea making for the U.K. market . Receiving a cup of hot water and then having to wait whilst a tea bag is f. Breakfast is too Mnimlistit. no car parking. The cost of Internet was too much - lots of hotels include it for free and the fact that there was no wireless or (Limited) plugs in the bar meant I retired early at night. Also, I am English and as such would like an English breakfast not the rubbish we were given. breakfast: no jam or marmalade, juice watery, croissants dried out. I checked out early and their was no staff, but as I had paid online was no bother but had to leave room key on the desk. It advertised as having a bar, which it did, but only carried one medium white wine. Not even a house dry or red. Also it was valentines day and I asked for a bottle of sparkling wine which they did not have - surely a money lost there as I am sure I wouldn;t have been the only person who asked. When I booked I was allocated a twin room. This was ideal as I wastravelling with my 4 year old grand daughter. (I also e mailed the hotelamd made them aware of this) However the room I was actually allocatedwas a double bed with a bed settee. As she was too young to sleep in abed setee we ended up sharing the double bed for 3 nights which was notvery comfotable and I was disappointed in this. Tea and coffee facilities poor - no milk and one teabag - no bath - noroom service, had to go get milk myself, could not turn volume down ontv was stuck on loud. despite booking via your website I was not booked into the hotel. i was then given a room which had not been made up. the breakfast options were poor.
