all reviews staff very helpful, friendly, informative. The setting was wonderful - a really good place to relax at the end of the day. Loads of parking and a first class breakfast served cheerfully.Perfectly priced to just undercut the big hotels in town. Great staff and awesome full English breakfast with lovely hot plates. The rooms are fit-for-purpose and modern. The location is great and an afternoon stroll is recommended. Breakfast is very nice.i liked the locashon staf wear frendly and brekfast was v good. Very helpful staff in a relaxed atmosphere. staff and atmosphere. The friendleness of the owners. Value for money, staff, breakfast. Got a really good internet rate.Comfortable bed. Price and value for money, Location to m4, Local environment/gardenssituation are suburb. Staff, WiFi availability. its setting is very beautiful and the breakfast was good value. Staff wer friendly. The bar and lounge was very comfortable and the rooms were spotless. The grounds were very nice to walk around.1. The price 2. The location. Not a great deal. Upon arrival there was no-one around to check me in, I was waiting more than 15 minutes. The facilites were extremely limited.Leaving. Wonderful Grounds. Queuing to check in and out.would have liked freeview on tv - but this is only a minor gripe.price of bar meals. Evening menu restricted when no conference delegates. The bar menu was a bit limited. The actual hotel and conference centre looks a bit like a WWII bunker from the outside, but is not really an issue. Ground floor rooms do not have a view. door to room was bit flimsey could do with replasing. The sat nav does not recognise the fact that the Lydiard is on estate grounds and therefore takes you to the park which is separated from the house. Post code for the houses before the entrance would be useful. Only one person on in the evening who covers front desk, the bar and serving in the restaurant. Had to wait to be checked in.wi fi reception a little weak. The bed was not the most comfortable. The hotel rooms are badley in need of a makeover, a little bit likestepping back into the 70s. Noisy plumbing.the walls to the rooms were very thin so you had a lot of noise from the next room i.e: i could hear my neighbour coughing. After travelling many miles over the previous day, i was hoping for an early night. However it seems there is a church bell ringing class between 1930 and 2100 on tuesdays so i could not get to sleep.Terrible quality room - reminiscent of cheap university accomodation. No open restaurant at 7pm! Staff never around, coupled with funny outer door mechanism which doesn't fill one with confidence that they would actually be able to return if they left. Not that they would want to as this is a shockingly poor quality hotel. Beautiful grounds - nice to visit but stay somewhere else. The selection of food.
