I had a double room for single occupancy at the front of the building, which was superb and provided me with plenty of space to work during the late afternoon and early evening and and a very comfortable bed for a good and uninterrupted night's sleep. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and the following morning's breakfast, which was prepared to order, was also superb. The staff were friendly and hospitable and I enjoyed everything about this hotel. It is the first time I have stayed in it .
all reviews » The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly in making our stay in Stranraer a memorable one. I thank them for suggesting a visit to portpatrick (a photographers delight). The stunning views of Loch Ryan and surrounding country side from the Stranraer golf course was some thing to remember. (My golf game maybe I will forget that) I would recommend a stay in Stranraer to any one. Location very central, staff were very welcoming and extremely friendly, nothing too much trouble, good value for money food, clean and modern bedroom albeit a little small however again good value for money. i loved my stay so much just wished i could have stayed longer ,room was fab food was lovely and the staff were just so nice and friendly not a bad word to say. :) well done to you all. A very relaxing stay before getting ferry to Belfast. Food excellent. Room very comfortable and staff very friendly. 2Nd time staying here. We were attending a wedding and were allowed early check-in which helped enormously. The staff were excellent. Our room had a fantastic view and was very comfortable. I HAD A LOVELY SEA VIEW. Good food and comfort i would recommend. clean tidy utility room friendly staff good traditional menu. Staff were excellent, they went the extra mile to help. Lovely traditional building - externally!. location, room well appointed. Off street secure perking. Reception staff very helpful as were evening bar staff. Not a thing. The restaurant and bedrooms have obviously been refurbished but the communal areas looked a bit tired in comparison.The wi fi was a nightmare although the staff gave me the code I couldn't connect even though they rebooted the system 2/3 times a. i did not stay long enough :(. No complaints whatsoever. The stairs to our room but the staff gave us the number of the only downstairs room to request on our next trip. nothing. parking limited had to wait quite a while to check out. Nothing. heat of the room. nothing. Nothing. Room sizes were very small for what we paid for bed and breakfast. Allocated room 14.....turns out to be a bad idea. Above the kitchen and when the fans were turned on the whole room vibrated. Not acceptable. Very small room, uncomfortable bed, street light directly outside, traffic noise, ridiculously small shower area and I left most of the breakfast! IMO not value for money at £85.00 for the night.
